You are comfortable multi-tasking and working with complex new business pitches across multiple markets and stakeholders, balancing different constituents’ agendas and priorities.

You will build upon a revamped, globally consistent business development machine that provides customized yet scalable solutions for prospects.  You will work closely with the Chief Growth Officer, our Global Business Development Director, and local and regional business development teams to ensure that the agency delivers against prospective client needsYou will work with other GroupM and WPP agencies to integrate capabilities across the group.

You are numerate, you pay attention to detail, and you drive yourself to deliver excellence in every project you touch, while also looking for improvements to streamline the agency’s processes for greater efficiency.

Mindshare will become famous within WPP and the industry for the progressiveness of our marketing and pitches, our pitch conversion rate and our ability to partner flexibly with others. We will win not just clients from among our traditional prospect pool, but we will accelerate conversion of ambitious, fast-growing “new economy” clients who are more performance oriented.

You will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a media agency, advertising agency or other marketing services provider.  Your English language composition and comprehension skills will be excellent, as you will be responsible for authoring and proof-reading written materials frequently.  You will have expertise in working with the Microsoft Office suite of tools. Functional experience, like media planning, media implementation or project management in one of the top 10 global advertising markets is desired but not mandatory. 

This role is based in Mindshare’s London, UK office, and may entail occasional travel.


Reporting Structure

You will report to the Mindshare Global Business Development Director, partnering with regional and local counterparts.  You will work closely with all business development teams across WPP, GroupM and Mindshare accordingly.


Job Responsibilities: This Role Is About Facilitating New Business Success

Manage New Client Pitches:

       Organize and manage the timing of agency workstream deliverables in the context of new business pitches.

       Manage agency responses to client RFIs, ensuring that we are not only answering the RFI, but that we are applying the best thinking, case studies and most accurate data to each response.  This task will involve briefing local Mindshare agencies on RFI needs, collating and reviewing their responses, and ensuring quality control for our combined response.

       Manage the agency RFI and RFP response database.

          Manage rehearsal schedules and the agency’s physical or virtual presence during presentations.

          Oversee quality control of Mindshare’s written pitch materials, collateral, and presentations for new business pitches, ensuring adherence to Mindshare brand guidelines with appropriate customization for the prospect.

          Brief and manage third-party designers and production companies.  Manage selection of and engagement with third-party providers of pitch collateral materials.

Contribute to the Business Development Community:

       Expand a world-class new business practice, by building upon and re-imagining Mindshare’s current new business approach and capabilities, with an eye towards driving global consistency.

       Work with WPP’s and GroupM’s business development teams to expand our opportunities, making Mindshare top-of-mind for the biggest prospects and placing us more at the forefront of integrated team models.

       Prepare status reports on wins/losses, new business pipeline activity and prospecting activity for Mindshare, GroupM and WPP use, responding to ad-hoc internal requests for information.

       Oversee proper implementation of WPP’s new business tracker for global and regional new business efforts.

       Manage the ongoing revision of Mindshare global credentials, including the development of case studies and maintenance of a case study database.

       Be a primary liaison to industry consultants, providing them with timely data on Mindshare’s successes and statistics.
