About the role/Team

 

The Dell Technologies EMEA central planning team is responsible for delivering overall strategy & media implementation across the key markets in EMEA for Dell Technologies.

The focus of the Central Planning team is to ensure that the client’s campaigns are run as effectively as possible and directly in line with client business needs, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a key part in the success of this team.

 

To be effective in this role the candidate will be given the opportunity to learn and understand how Dell Technologies operates and is structured, apply their media and communications experience in terms of media planning, campaign management and seek new ideas and opportunities to maximise our campaign impact and further improve the strong existing relationship we have built in terms of client collaboration and partnership.

 

This role will allow the successful candidate to develop themselves in terms of technical knowledge, strong interpersonal abilities, and operational skills. They should be motivated by looking to build confidence with both our team and our client stakeholders. This role will give the opportunity to further learn marketing principles, how the media market operates, plus a good skillset in negotiation. There is a particular need for Dell Technologies in EMEA to provide a best-in-class audience targeting strategy, building on our ways of working with vendors in a bespoke way based on our client’s needs, but also provide new strategies and recommendations. The client is looking for us to be Forward Thinking and provide Innovation opportunities and the successful candidate will be involved in these strategic workstreams. It will also require an ability to be highly motivated, numerate, and articulate, both when speaking to clients, writing documents, and analysing results in a fast-paced environment.

Objectives of the Role: 

 

The Planner Buyer will:

 

  • Coordinate planning activities between clients and internal stakeholders
  • Develop media plans in line with strategic guidance developed by the AD and Media Manager
  • Understand and implement the MediaCom System planning process where necessary, which the candidate will be trained on in the role.
  • Interpret client briefs to develop an implementation plan.
  • Conduct Research and interpret data to apply strategic insights to help define central planning approach.
  • Participate in client calls/meetings as required and contribute to the production of presentations.
  • Identify key risks to the delivery and performance against brief on a regular basis and manage solutions to mitigate such risk, with support from their line manager
  • Contribute constructively to the identification and improvement of central processes which could deliver higher performance.
  • Remain up to date with market trends to advise future planning strategy.
  • Understand the markets and customer demographics.
