Digital PR Manager
 
About the role:
 
We’re looking for an experienced Digital PR Manager with expert knowledge of developing media stories, content and media pitches designed to help improve our client’s SEO performance through the acquisition of high quality back-links.
 
We’re going through a period of rapid and exciting growth and are looking for someone to help us continue our winning pitch streak and share our ‘positive provocation’ story with our clients, our prospects, our people and the industry at large.
 
In this role, you will:
 
  • Work with the Organic Performance team to understand which back-links our clients need to earn to improve their authority and design content-lead campaigns designed to acquire them
     
  • Manage the Digital PR strategy and activation with the support of the wider Digital PR team
     
  • Work with our Creative team to develop media stories and ideas that will cut through with journalists
     
  • Develop media lists and relationships, identifying the Editors, Journalists & Websites that are most likely to cover your client’s stories
     
  • Manage the outreach process from end-to-end, planning media lists and outreach resource as the project demands
     
  • Support the client with relevant data and campaign performance metrics to ensure clear understanding of what needs to be achieved and delivered.
     
  • Take ownership of the client’s onsite editorial (where appropriate & with support of the Managing Partner) to ensure that the editorial plan meets the SEO and Digital PR requirements of the account
 
Core skills:
 
  • Understands the basics of how digital PR can help clients to improve their SEO and the basic fundamentals of how a digital PR campaign works.
     
  • Can interpret SEO data to define what type of digital PR activity will have the most impact on Organic Performance.
     
  • Highly developed outreach/pitching skills and a key understanding of what particular journalists and editors are likely to cover and link to.
 
  • Ability to run and interpret data from multiple data points (Carbon, GA, BuzzSumo) to set client strategy and deliver end to end campaigns that earn links for clients.
     
  • Understanding of the creative ideation process and ability to manage the entire process including sell-in to clients and working with inhouse PR teams.
     
  • Ability to manage internal team members and manage campaign through to delivery of agreed KPI.
