Job Overview

MediaCom are looking for a Senior Exec to join our Insight team.  We are a team of insight specialists embedded with Systems Intelligence. Systems Intelligence houses all of the data, effectiveness, insight and technology specialists at MediaCom.  The overall objective of the team is to use data in all its forms to drive gold standard comms planning and content development

As a Senior Exec you will work with other team members, other internal departments (especially the planning, content and creative teams) as well as clients to provide and facilitate understanding of consumers, brands, markets, channels and trends to improve the content and comms strategies for new and existing business

Our team works across all MediaCom North Group clients using a variety of different research and insight techniques and sources, including qual and quant methodologies.  Every day is different, bringing with it a new brief and an opportunity to be innovative and creative in the way we answer it.  As Senior Exec (reporting to the head of department) you will be critical to the delivery and development of our research and insight proposition.

Responsibilities of the role
  • To work closely with the team to  identify the best approach to answer insight-focussed problems, be that using desk research or a more tailor-made research approach
  • To scope, manage and analyse tailor-made research solutions  e.g. Focus Groups, Online Quant surveys or Online Research Communities with the Director, ensuring that projects are run to timescale and budget, liaising with clients and suppliers
  • To be aware of all the internal and external syndicated and bespoke tools and insight resources we have at our disposal and be able to use them to gather insight
  • To work with MediaCom UK and Group M teams in the implementation of new and existing insight products, and to be aware of insight-driving data held within the digital ecosystem internally and externally
  • To be involved in the production of pro-active thought pieces to provide wider context eg. On the economy or consumer trends
  • Start developing relationships with other internal teams and suppliers
What will you need?
  • A minimum of 4 years working in an insight-related role with a media owner, client, other agency or market research company.
  • A good working knowledge of qual and quant methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills – able to present complex ideas in a clear and engaging way and build relationships with stakeholders across the agency and beyond
  • A passion for media and advertising in general
