About Finecast

GroupM, the media investment group of WPP, launched Finecast in September 2017, delivering digital-like precision and accountability to advertising on the most powerful advertising and branding medium - television.

As TV audiences fragment across a range of platforms and as viewing behaviours evolve, TV advertisers are grappling with how to continue making best use of their most trusted medium. Finecast was created to help solve this challenge.

Finecast enables advertisers to precision-target viewers across multiple on demand, linear and live streaming TV environments. It helps advertisers address hard-to-reach TV viewers through a single access point with standardised measurement. All Finecast campaigns are inherently viewable, running on TV screens within high-quality, brand-safe content with no ad blocking.

Each Finecast campaign is custom built around the advertiser’s audience target or response objective for TV campaigns and provides a more targeted and faster path to market than traditional linear TV advertising.

About the team

The Engagement team is the first point of contact for agencies, primarily responsible for advocating and driving the adoption of Finecast’s products. The team are tasked with identifying new business opportunities and developing compelling proposals, be that via existing or new clients. Of equal importance is to diversify our new company’s client base and to explore opportunities outside of the traditional AV budgets.

The Role Responsibilities:

The Engagement team will expand its remit in 2019 with a focus on overall revenue growth, growing adoption across a broader suite of products and developing the business into other areas within the agencies (e.g. closer coordination with comms planners, heads of insight, senior leadership).             

With the expansion of the team there is a need for a more senior role within the team to take over some of the responsibilities for running the day to day commercial operations. The Director will therefore take over some of the key responsibilities from the Head of Engagement whilst continuing the important work of growing your specific agency patch.             

The Director has several key areas of responsibility:   

Driving Revenue

Primarily, the Director will be responsible for ensuring that product revenue goals (monthly/quarterly/annually) are achieved across your agency patch. Simultaneously, working with the Head of Engagement to ensure the product revenue goals are achieved across the group. Work with the AGHs to ensure that Finecast products are adopted across all relevant clients. This includes tracking brief responses and adoption, identifying knowledge gaps, and supporting as required.           

Forecasting and Revenue tracking            

Working with the Head of Engagement, the Director will be responsible for:          

  1. The tracking of revenue across all Finecast products
  2. Communication of correct revenue targets to AGHs and management of these targets
  3. Working with the agency stakeholders and AGHs to provide an accurate forecast across all products for the quarterly GroupM submissions       

Commercial Acumen      

Act as the Engagement lead for key clients across xx agency and support the engagement team on their agencies.

  • Obsess about pipeline

Essential Skills and Knowledge


Able to proactively identify, project manage, and deliver on key initiative whilst empowering and supporting the wider team to deliver theirs.

Market Knowledge          

Strong converged AV and digital video knowledge in order to educate and evangelize to our partners, clients and the wider team. Continual development of your knowledge to ensure you are at the forefront of industry developments.


Polished presentation skills with excellent Communication skills, effectively translating complex ideas into easy to understand, workable solutions; comfortable in speaking to any level of seniority, tailoring your message as appropriate.

Direction & Execution     

Best practice generation – significant evidence of having developed and executed on process/workflow/best practice business projects.  Ensure resource allocation across your team is appropriate and will deliver the desired outcome.


Understanding of the fundamentals of partner technology offerings and be the subject matter expert for your department.

Strategic Thinking & Planning

Develop incremental business opportunities from new or existing clients and products.  Demonstrate an ability to understand client strategy and set your own strategy in response.
