The role objectives


The Senior Director, Product Management will be expected to work with stakeholders in the business, as well as external suppliers and technology providers, to build out and maintain a cohesive strategy for product development and management.  The successful candidate will work within the Global Platform team, collaborate with teams in the local markets and report directly into the Head of the DepartmentThey must be able to work effectively across all areas of product development and management, helping establish and build a product management function from the ground up.

Management of the product will involve the design, creation, enhancement, and maintenance of new and existing features, functionality, and processes. The primary focus will be on Finecast’s proprietary technology audience planning platform, but there will also be responsibilities across other platform programmes




  • Identify, prioritise, and design products that respond to the requirements of the business and that align with the product strategy
  • Produce functional requirement documentation for new product initiatives
  • Manage RFPs for new systems and services related to platform development
  • Support vendor selection and set up
  • Manage product delivery
  • Lead testing programmes for new products
  • Manage product rollout and training schemes
  • Assess performance and suitability of current product suite
  • Review and share insights on comparable in-market platform solutions
  • Work with Product Solutions on consistent product messaging and positioning
  • Maintain an understanding of, and liaise with, in-market external solution providers
  • Ensure that internal stakeholders are kept informed on all areas that pertain to platform development
  • Maintain platform product roadmap and associated prioritisation process across Finecast markets
  • Support and input into the global product strategy
  • Support business investment decision with insight and business case development
  • Building out and managing the product management team
  • Support the overall platform product strategy through ongoing assessment of needs and putting innovation at the heart of our roadmap
  • Work closely with Finecast local market stakeholders to ensure we have a transparent, open product roadmap process with strong participation and collaboration in feature development from our user community


Experience & skills:


The following skills and attributes will need to be demonstrated:


  • Substantial relevant experience (+5 year) in product development and management
    • Stakeholder management
    • Requirements gathering, development of user stories and acceptance criteria
    • Technology specifications and development
    • Solution delivery and adoption
    • Strategic vision and commercialisation
  • Sound experience of working with agile product management practices working closely with engineering teams in a continuous development approach
  • Familiarity with principles of design and UX
  • Understanding and experience of product prototyping process
  • Evidence of technical comfort and understanding of application development, cloud computing, and database technologies
  • Some experience of working with the following:
    • Dashboarding systems and data visualisation
    • Machine Learning, AI, Algorithms
    • Platform APIs; process automation
    • Data architecture & infrastructure
  • Ideally, experience within the media industry - preferably in the areas of TV and digital advertising but other industry experience is welcome
  • Comfortable in speaking to any level of seniority, tailoring your message as appropriate
  • Excellent Communication skills, effectively translating complex ideas into easy to understand, workable solutions
  • Write accurate and detailed business requirements documentation
