Global Pricing Director, GroupM

 

  • The Global Pricing Director, GroupM, will be responsible for designing and rolling out the planned new Global Pricing and Accountability team to act as a service hub for our agencies, managing pitch pricing (initially) and potentially client accountability (longer term and depending on best agreed structure and approach with the agencies) on key global accounts.

 

  • They will need to work with key markets to help them create competitive pricing submissions, support, lead, advise and mentor as necessary local investment leaders, to ensure our success. These submissions will need to be managed either locally or centrally depending on the pitch requirements and process.

 

  • They will need to create and set up a comprehensive database approach to pricing, so we can capture average submission rates and understand more effectively how to set future pricing submissions to win. They will also need to look at the opportunities to automate and even offshore this kind of work in future to better manage cost and drive efficiency.

 

  • They will need to learn about and share best practice in all things pricing and become the GroupM expert in this field.

 

  • They will need to design and hire a team to help deliver these goals accordingly (some of whom will be drawn from the agencies and some hired externally) and then manage and motivate this team to provide a world class service.

 

  • They will need to closely work with other senior Global investment staff, particularly the agency global investment leaders as well key agency global account leaders and others involved in both new business and account management including senior local, regional and global management at the agencies. They will need to play a key role in “pitch price boards” with the agencies, discussing and agreeing on pricing strategies and helping to effectively prioritize new business pitches and the prices we submit.

 

  • They will also need to meet with key global clients to sell our pricing approach as needed, supporting the agencies in pitch presentations as needed.

 

  • They will need to pro-actively build strong relationships with external auditors and help agencies and markets through the audit processes, acting also as the GroupM auditor expert.

 

  • Supporting the implementation of key global strategies and other ad hoc projects as required by the Deputy Global head of Investment.

 

  • KPIs are to be identified and drafted but would relate to new business and delivery of client investment KPIs around price delivery  e.g. improved pitch win rates from XX to XX, improved account price KPI delivery from XX to XX, etc.

 

  • Based in London with global travel required as necessary, reports to the Deputy Global head of Investment (TBD)
