The Role

The Partnerships Account Director will work as a senior member of the partnerships team reporting into the Partnerships Business Director and leading the Account Managers & Executives within the team.  This role is based in the m/SIX London office with travel to client offices as required.  This is a predominately UK focused role with opportunity to work on other m/SIX clients outside of the UK.

The role includes:

  • Efficient and effective delivery of campaigns, ensuring full client satisfaction
  • Creating and curating content which will become part of our clients’ assets
  • Amplifying the activity – working hand in hand with our planning and buying teams
  • Managing AM and AE development across all functions of the team

The Partnerships Account Director will foster strong relationships with key clients and act as a specialist advisor to them and their other agencies and partners to maximise their partnership opportunities. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Building strong, effective relationships and a close rapport with clients and colleagues, acting as a trusted specialist and advisor whilst maintaining relationships of respect
  • Building excellent media owner, rightsholder and content creator relationships, representing the company and clients in a professional manner
  • Continually looking for creative inspiration, within and outside of media, finding ways to include it in your own work and sharing with the rest of the team
  • Developing effective relationships with internal colleagues to ensure partnerships are used effectively within the overarching client plans
  • Helping to seek and develop new partnership solutions for clients both proactively and in answer to specific briefs
  • Developing a good understanding of all aspects of clients’ marketplace and business
  • Leading the Project Management of the delivery of partnerships and activation, often working in collaboration with a number of the client’s other agencies from approval of a deal, contracting, finance to campaign completion and delivery of PCAs
  • Utilising and leading the use of the various media systems to analyse and interpret data to inform partnership solutions
  • Obtaining maximum value in all media negotiations
  • Managing and prioritising your workload as well as managing junior members of the team, prioritising their workload and facilitating their development of media systems (including teaching on bookings and fee invoices on the DDS/Prisma System)
  • Overseeing all financial administration by the Account Manager and Account Executive
  • Support in new business opportunities / pitches as required


What we are looking for:

  • 7 years + professional experience with a background in media, sponsorship, marketing or advertising
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Go-getting attitude – we’re a lean team and need someone who can adapt and muck in where needed
  • Someone who is highly collaborative and facilitates a productive working relationship across the agency as well as someone passionate about leading and managing people
  • A strong presenter with the gravatas to sell in partnerships to senior client stakeholders
  • A clear and broad understanding of the partnership landscape
  • Someone who can provide in-depth and valuable feedback
