Job Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Associate Director to join our Media Partnerships Production Team, working exclusively on the Google account across all their products and pillars.
The role sits within ‘Media Futures Group’ (MFG); MFG is a bespoke agency created for Google and brings together the best of EssenceMediacom to service the Communication needs of Google across both on and offline media. Within MFG, you will sit in the ‘Creative Futures’ team; focused on delivering solutions grounded in non-traditional media, or what some call ‘content’.
This is an exciting new role as it will have a sole focus on the transforming how one of the most well-known brands in the World. We are looking for a candidate with a track record of creating and delivering best in class partnerships, content, and branded content.
You will be expected to build relationships with key Google PMMs (Product Marketing Managers) across product areas. And ‘Media Labbers’ (media managers).

You will report into the Head of Branded Entertainment Production (Director).

What are the measures of success
- You are seen by the immediate team, department, and wider agency as a key person for Partnership Production.
- You can effectively manage a significant number of projects, ensuring that delivery and client service levels are consistently high.
- Assisting the Head of Branded Entertainment Production with new partnership briefs and for developing fees / SOWs for these projects and ensuring they are successfully transitioned from brief, response & sign off into production & activation.
- Supporting the Head of Branded Entertainment Production with resource amongst the immediate team, ensuring that the appropriate resource is in place to be able to deliver incoming projects.
- A focus on developing a strong collaborative relationship with the Creative Systems Leads team and key partners.
- An understanding of Bigger Picture thinking and the ability to spot incremental opportunities that reach the department from Investment/Planning.
What would you expect to achieve in the first 3 months
- Understand the MediaCom process of how a new partnerships brief is handled between different departments and is then activated by the CS Production team.
- Ability to understand MFG’s financial model and to be able to deliver a smooth financial process every month.
- Build a strong working relationship with the Head of Branded Entertainment Production & Creative Systems Leads.
- Build a strong relationship with the Partnerships Production.
What will you need
- Significant partnerships & production experience as a current Director or Account Director, within media, with good knowledge of media channels, especially; TV, print, radio and digital.
- Expert understanding, knowledge & experience of content, partnerships & production.
- Be hyper-organised & have good project management skills.
- Exceptional people skills (including people / team management) and very confident with clients, confident in managing multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Commercial awareness – recommending and tracking fees / SOWs for projects. Strong attention to detail & good with numbers. Ensuring financial process are adhered to and that month end reporting is accurate.
- Strong commercial acumen to include a pro-active understanding of key client contracts, fee structures, named resource and agreed services. A full understanding of MFG’s financial measures and business model.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and supporting workload of junior team members (resource management).
- Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects & new briefs at one time.
- Confident communicator to include active participation in client meetings & delivering presentations.
- Enthusiastic, proactive & creative – be a ‘yes’ person.
- Leadership skills, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in working well under pressure & working to deadlines.
