WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

Reporting to the President for Activation Product, and as a key member of the Activation leadership team, you will lead one of four sub product areas within Activation.  You will take accountability for defining, developing and deploying products that deliver better outcomes for our clients, enable our teams to deliver their best work, and provide competitive advantage for GroupM.

 

You will lead and oversee multiple ‘full stack’ product teams comprising of product, engineering, data science, UX and enablement resources, all focussed on delivering a compelling and market-leading product that is aligned with business goals and customer demands.

You will need strong leadership and people management skills to help transform disparate teams into a highly functioning and unified product development organisation with a clear vision and strategy.

 

You will own a significant Opex and Capex budget, and will play a key role in defining the appropriate commercial models for products under your charge, and ensuring commercial accountability in the way that we develop products.

 

Your role will involve cultivating a culture of agility, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within each team, ensuring a results-driven mentality and alignment with the business’s strategic objectives.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

  • Product Vision: Spearhead the strategic direction for your product area, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Product Delivery: Lead the continual evolution of a product roadmap that meets business goals and priorities through iterative development. Be ruthless in prioritising to realize optimal business value.
  • Customer Oriented: Champion a customer-focussed mentality, ensuring the products we develop address clear customer needs and market opportunities, and keen focus on driving meaningful product adoption.
  • Competitive Mindset: Be relentless in the pursuit of differentiating products that provide GroupM with a clear competitive advantage.
  • Clearly articulate and champion products’ value proposition, and ensuring it translates to success in client conversations and new business pitches.
  • Commercial Mindset: Partner with our commercial team to develop commercials model for your product area, and balance revenue generation and cost management to ensure sustainable growth and financial success.
  • Team Leadership: Establish, motivate and mentor full stack multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring they have the environment to deliver their best work.
  • Organizational Collaboration: Work closely with other Product, Product Strategy and Product Enablement Leaders to ensure we are collectively delivering towards a single platform, and that we are successful against the broader choreograph business strategies and goals.
  • Nurture Partnerships: Cultivate and manage relationships with both internal and external partners, driving collaboration and realizing value from each relationship.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert in your product area, offering support to teams during the pitch process and fostering thought leadership within the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

 

  • Progressive experience in senior leadership roles, using data and technology to develop products that enable true competitive advantage and growth.
  • Advanced knowledge in the way that media campaigns are set-up, activated and optimized, and a proven ability to use this knowledge to drive product vision and strategy.
  • Client-focused and results-driven mindset, prioritizing the most important opportunities to drive growth and success for our clients and GroupM.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, able to identify the appropriate courses of action and see the longer-term, bigger picture.
  • Experience leading teams of data and technical specialists to deliver ambitious and multifaceted product roadmaps.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to work well with and positively influence teams, clients, colleagues and sponsors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • A proactive and independent worker with a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to adapt quickly in demanding and dynamic environments.
  • Ability and experience of working in a fast-paced, multi-market, matrixed environment, with an ability to work with agility and nurture strong relationships.
