Overview of role
As Creative Futures we help clients to make transformational Breakthroughs by bringing media and creative together to drive brand relevance and accelerate growth.
We do this by developing the most potent ideas to drive cultural relevance (from Influencer Marketing to Branded Entertainment and Partnerships), the most integrated, addressable ideas to drive advertising relevance (through our Addressable Creative and Creative Analytics offering) and the most authoritative ideas to drive platform relevance (via our SEO and Social products).
The UK is a lead market within our global offering and a center of excellence for Creative Futures.
We are looking for a Director level, UK Head of Creator Marketing to join our team. This role will be responsible for creating and implementing the strategic vision for growth across our business.
This vision will be designed to ensure that we deliver best in class work for our clients as well as building a highly robust business model for commercial growth.
The role will be responsible for leading responses to client pitches and developing new business opportunities. You will represent Creative Futures at a senior level with Clients, Platforms and key Essencemediacom and GroupM stakeholders. It will provide thought leadership and inspiration for clients, the team and the wider industry.
This role will have responsibility for helping to shape new benchmarks for how we deliver platform relevant creativity and measurement.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of creating, articulating, and delivering best in class solutions for clients. You will be confident in identifying social trends and applying data to shape your thinking and recommendations. You will have a range of industry contacts and will be comfortable championing the role for Creator Marketing to senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
You will also have proven success at building, motivating and delivering results through high performing teams.
This role will operate across all EMC clients with a focus on key accounts such as Sky, Coca Cola, Costa, Mars, Google, Adidas, Tui, Hasbro.

Measures of success
In three months, you would have:
- Developed strong relationships with key clients, internal stakeholders and platform partners.
- Revised and adapted our team credentials and RTB documentation to be best in class.
- Significantly contributed to new business pitches and scope expansions for existing clients.
In six months, you would have:
- Tangibly improved the quality of our creative and strategic output.
- Formulated a strategic plan to drive future growth including improvements to our commercial model.
- Converted new retained client business.
In 12 months, you would have:
- Evidence a new standard for Creator Marketing work within Essencemediacom. Establish a team that is famous internally and externally for creating brilliant work that pushes the boundaries of creative, commerce and measurement excellence.
- Delivered all commercial targets set.
- Established an effective team structure that delivers development and opportunity to grow for all team members.
Responsibilities of the role
- Champion the role for creator activity amongst clients and colleagues.
- Establish a commercial model that ensures sustainable growth and development of our proposition.
- Be responsible for our internal and external profile. Represent and showcase our capability at events, in industry press etc.
- Drive big ideas and creative solutions that excite and surprise clients and are rooted in insights and data.
- Help to build best in case paid media strategies supported by industry leading measurement standards.
- Serve as a senior point of contact, building senior relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
- Manage key documentation e.g. scope of works, budgets, contracts, and PCA’s, etc.
- Meet regularly with platforms, agencies, content creators - cultivating strategic relationships which enable you to source opportunities that proactively deliver on client business objectives.
- Have a point of view and stay connected to relevant marketplace trends, authoring client requested and proactive points-of-views.
- Foster a culture of collaboration within your team, and look for opportunities to work with other members of the Creative Futures team where possible (i.e. Creative strategists, Creatives).
- Collaborate closely with other internal EMC teams including Planning, Strategy and Systems Intelligence to ensure holistic campaign planning.
- Oversee junior team members day-to-day responsibilities, whilst providing strategic oversight and coaching.
- Identifying new revenue streams and processes to drive efficiency as well as creating new territories for NPD.
- Strong commercial acumen, comfortable navigating custom contracts and clear understanding of the commercial structure of deals.
