About the team

The Operations team is responsible for establishing and powering operational excellence across GroupM Digital. Our team supports the business in two areas – Programmatic Operations & Business Operations and the team has business knowledge, expertise and experience required to support all of the different GroupM Digital operating models. Our team maintains the business systems and processes that are key to operate efficiently. Operations is also responsible for defining best practices and evaluating new products or solutions to ensure that we deliver excellent results for our agencies and their clients.

About the role

This role will chiefly be responsible for managing complex projects across stakeholders within GroupM Digital UK. With a strong understanding of programmatic media buying, digital media models the role will also contribute significantly to the strategy across various aspects of campaign planning, set-up, optimisation and insights for the Agency teams in addition to our agencies and clients.

Within the Operations team the role plays an active part in achieving the GroupM UK vision. The Operations team must innovate, looking for opportunity to automate and use new technologies to scale our effectiveness and efficiency to delight clients.

The Operations team is a hub of operational expertise and supports the review of new technology platforms from an operational POV. As a Business Manager within the Operations team, you’ll be responsible for managing and completing operational projects that deliver efficiency and performance for our agency teams.


Role requirements

Analytical thinking – to help create the world’s most advanced Intelligent Media capability. Able to strategically evaluate opportunities understanding the business and operational implications and benefits to the business.

Client-centricity – able to support and lead operational change needed to support the new client-centric GroupM Digital. Understand and develop executional project plans that deliver performance and efficiency for the agency teams.

Be an evangelist for the narrative that simplifies and clearly articulates the objective of the Operations team, highlighting the benefits they bring to our teams and their clients.

Business growth – Help deliver the operational excellence required to become the world’s most advanced Intelligent Media capability and enable our agency teams to deliver maximized profit from GroupM Digital’s products & services.

Support and promote the development of new process, efficiencies with the tools we use to deliver market advantages to our clients

The skills we are looking for

Application of industry & technical knowledge – use a deep and broad understanding of programmatic operations to identify how GroupM can deliver operational excellence and delight our clients. With a strong technical understanding of various dashboarding solutions and able to use these tools to deliver actionable reporting solutions to various teams.

Professionalism – be well organized and deliver to deadlines. Balance open sharing of information with information security, and show integrity towards colleagues, suppliers, and clients. Keep a commercial focus within the operational approach.

Good communication – use active listening to take on feedback from multiple sources and use it to make decisions and problem solve. Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels in GroupM and the agencies, verbally and in writing, to promote good teamwork. Articulate the benefits of the Operations approach in a compelling and engaging way to maximise adoption of tools.
