Channel Solutions
Channel solutions exists to evolve how we engage with clients over the activation of media, its contribution to business performance and how integration of capabilities and thinking are the critical element to driving growth for clients. Optimising media isn’t enough, we need to understand the eco-system that influences true business performance, and the role media plays in influencing that.
As part of Channel Solutions, there is a collective of Channel management, the activation of media, Channel Strategy, the connection between media and business performance, and Channel Development, the project managers and integrators to capabilities that exist beyond media and into the wider network and client.
The Role
The Manager within the Direct Investment team supervises all day-to-day implementation & optimization of site direct & performance channels for PayPal & other B2B clients; with a particular focus on Content Syndication. Other channels include direct display, webinars, DOOH & content partnerships. Reporting to the Account Director, the manager provides buying recommendations internally & directly to the client. The Manager oversees the team’s execution of media plans, optimization, reporting as well as other internal & client facing deliverables. The manager collaborates daily with key media partners to find the best solutions for PayPal & is also in charge of overseeing the Account Executive in their day-to-day work.
The Ideal Candidate
The candidate will report into the Account Director. Working within the Direct Investment team, the manager will be integral to achieving client goals, and the development and optimization of direct investment activity. The ideal candidate will be expected to to set up & manage campaigns across multiple markets & partners. You will be expected to champion the Mindshare Channel & Solutions best practice approach to delivering direct campaigns. You will lead by example, taking responsibility for the guidance and development of junior members of the team
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in digital paid media, with a focus on digital investment & campaign execution
- Strong managerial skills to help junior team members grow
- Client management skills to interact with stakeholders at multiple levels
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify a problem and jump in to find a resolution
- Ability to pull key insights to present to clients on ways to improve campaigns
- Maintain a strong familiarity, if not outright expertise, with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and macros
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong communication, project management and time management skills
- Strong understanding of interactive media tools; Prisma & DCM
Desirable Criteria
- Experience buying performance media channels, in particular Content Syndication
- B2B marketing experience
Responsibilities
- Provide clients with channel insight & recommendations across direct investment channels supported by data.
- Ability to provide strong analysis, & insight for optimization based on historical performance.
- Develop a good understanding of client’s business and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with Account Director to ensure direct plans are on strategy and meet client objectives.
- Act as a liaison between agency & partners, developing a point of view for relevant partners & new opportunities.
- Recommend optimal vendor mix & finalise RFP List
- Responsible for adequate briefing to partners, ensuring briefing sessions are well prepared & detailed.
- Receive & QA asset matrix with junior team for seamless campaign set up & execution.
- Oversee accurate campaign set up, campaign trafficking & reconciliation
- Review performance with junior team and recommend tactical changes to maximise campaign outcomes.
- Campaign maintenance ensuring delivery and adherence to overall media plan objectives throughout.
- Responsible for quality control, troubleshooting any lead delivery errors with 3rd party data governance partner.
- Oversee correct invoicing with the team, being the point of escalation for any invoicing issues that cannot be resolved.
- Manage day to day plan changes/maintenance of media plans with junior team.
- Build post campaign reporting & recommend any tactical changes to maximize campaign performance
