About the role:
As the Global Financial Controller for GroupM Offshore, you will play a critical role in supporting our offshore financial operations and strategy.
Key responsibilities include verifying, controlling, and documenting internal and SOX procedures for the Offshore HUB. You will collaborate with the offshore commercial team, internal auditors, and the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
You will own the Poland Offshore budget and forecasting process, including quarterly reforecasting and liaising with various stakeholders to project costs and income. You will report to and coordinate with the Global Finance Offshore Director in New York, and work closely with the local Poland finance team and the Poland Offshore lead.
Your tasks will include:
- Preparing flash and actuals reporting for Offshore HUB according to IFRS in accordance with the applicable WPP financial calendar, in the SAP BFC Finance system;
- Preparing reports, statements and financial analyzes for the needs of the Offshore team;
- Verification, control and documentation of internal procedures and SOX procedures for the Offshore HUB;
- Cooperation with offshore commercial team, internal auditors, and the finance team;
- Ownership of the Poland Offshore budget and forecasting. This will include quarterly reforecasting and liaising with different stakeholders to forecast costs and income;
- Reporting to and liaising with the Global Finance Offshore lead based in New York. Working alongside also local Poland finance team and the Poland Offshore lead;
- Responsible for revenue reconciliation and recognition and intercompany billing to various markets;
- Consolidation of global offshore financials including billing and P&Ls;
- Responsible for creating and sending intercompany scope of works globally and liaising with 40+ agencies and countries across the GroupM network.
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Higher education in accounting and finance;
- 3 years of experience in the general or financial audit department in one of the "Big 4" companies;
- Experience in auditing international capital groups that report according to IFRS;
- The qualifications of a Chartered Auditor, ACCA, CIMA or you are in the process of obtaining those;
- Knowledge of English at least at B2 level;
- Skill of organizing your work well and pay attention to details, you are inquisitive;
- Ability to work under time pressure and are very focused on meeting deadlines;
- Open approach, you are not afraid of challenges and have a "to do attitude" approach;
- Ability to communicate your opinion openly and transparently.
