About the role:

As Global Senior Resource Manager for GroupM Global, you will support the rapid growth and our offshore resourcing strategy Globally. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding & prioritizing the needs of the regions, then matching those to resources in India, LATAM and Poland Offshore Hubs (currently over 2.000 FTEs). You will also support the Global Hub management in reviewing FTE utilization and employee engagement.

You will report to the Global Resource Management Director for Offshore Hub.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executive leadership
  • Support in setting and implementing workforce metrics for measurement and dashboard reporting with People, Finance, and Executive leadership.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for all Offshore Resource Management issues; partner with market Leadership to achieve resolution.
  • Provide guidance and thought leadership in Resource Management subjects for Offshore.
  • Offshore resource management team
  • Support the Offshore resourcing team in the ongoing management and optimization of our resource management function.
  • Where appropriate, collaborate with other resourcing functions on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Establish a culture of team collaboration, inspiration, improvement, and active listening.
  • Talent team partnership
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR to identify talent and skill gaps, prioritize open positions, and gain internal financial approvals needed to begin the external hiring process.
  • Support long-term planning of hiring talents by providing staffing trends, analyzing current and future utilization, and future skills needs.
  • Identify GroupM and WPP mobility opportunities from a change of client, short and long-term moves, and immediate support.
  • Provide business context and input for the Learning team to develop training programs.
  • Act as a confidante and partner in sensitive talent issues, maintaining the strictest confidentiality.
  • Data-driven workforce planning
  • Provide the strategic direction for the allocation of the correct agency teams to each client or project based on a real understanding of the client requirements, the commercial agreement, and the strengths of each member of the agency.
  • Collaborate with business and client leads to create transparency around team metrics (e.g., forecasted capacity reporting; utilization vs. realization; billability & skills need analysis; future staffing trends).
  • Regularly engage client, discipline, and market leadership on future-facing workforce planning exercises, aligning information related to progression, rotations, and retention/employee relations with projected changes in staffing needs and structural team evolutions.
  • New business leadership
  • Partner with business and client leadership to identify areas of business and client growth informed by future talent trends and requirements to support areas of expansion.
  • Where appropriate and needed, provide guidance and counsel for client pitches to describe the GroupM talent operating model.
  • Provide detailed quarterly analysis for time spent on new business activities.
  • Support in managing the Resource Management Team
  • Continuous improvement & best practisesupporting roll out of initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Managing and upskilling the Resource Management team globally.

 

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • 4-7 years of proven track record in establishing and managing large complex resource management structures within a company of comparable size and scale.
  • Understanding of stakeholder needs, and the confidence and ability to challenge and influence tchem.
  • Deep understanding of resource management technology and data architecture.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with direct reports and all management levels.
  • Empathy and the ability to partner across all cultures and diverse backgrounds.
  • Keen and effective problem-solving skills.
  • A strong work ethic; able to work under pressure and juggle multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Exceptional diligence and attention to detail as well as resourcefulness and quick, practical thinking in a demanding environment.
  • Affinity for numbers, leveraging a data-driven, analytical approach to decision making.
  • Experience in change management (ideally).
