SEO Account Executive

 

Overview of role

 

The key objective of this role is the support of the SEO Team including SEO Account Managers and the SEO Account Directors in the day-to-day running of SEO campaigns, from set up to execution, providing insights, analysis, reporting and overall technical, on-page and off-page optimisation recommendations.

 

Not only will the successful candidate be helping to deliver SEO campaigns for some of the largest brands and advertisers in the UK, but they’ll also have the opportunity to develop their knowledge of the wider media & marketing industry, thanks to the close integration between MediaCom’s SEO team and other specialist departments within the company. This will give the successful candidate the chance to work alongside, and learn from, colleagues from a diverse set of backgrounds – such as those from PPC, Real World Insights, Business Science and Planning teams.

 

  • Work closely with SEO Account Managers and the SEO Account Directors to improve the overall organic visibility of client websites.
  • Support the wider team where necessary, including providing industry updates and research/testing time.
  • Advance your personal SEO knowledge using MediaCom training, industry publications & events.

 

Reporting of the role

 

You will be reporting to the SEO Account Manager.

Responsibilities of the role

 

Business:

  • Support the team with the day to day SEO workload across a number of client accounts, including:
    • Reporting (visibility, rank tracking, traffic, KPIs etc).
    • Keyword research and page mapping
    • Technical recommendations
    • Crawling & monthly health checks
    • Opportunity reporting
    • On-page optimisation recommendations
  • Help to review client SEO campaigns to ensure they are delivered to a consistently high standard
  • Work with the SEO Executives & SEO Manager to monitor the ongoing performance of SEO campaigns and highlight key insights.
  • Attending client meetings & calls with members of the SEO Team to gather feedback & present ideas.

 

People:

  • Monitor industry trends and updates and report back on insights to the wider team.
  • Engage in MediaCom provided training & embrace personal development opportunities.

 

What you will need

 

  • An understanding of industry standard SEO tools would be beneficial, including any experience with: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Majestic SEO, Sistrix, Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, etc. Training will be provided, but prior knowledge is advantageous.
  • Ability to juggle a number of tasks at once and consistently to deliver high-quality work to timescale.
  • A high degree of numeracy and literacy are essential.
  • Experience with project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pre-empt problems and be pro-active in producing solutions.
  • Passion and interest for internet-related technology.
