Client Partner – Sky Portfolio


Overview of role


Gain a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses, applying sector & industry knowledge to simplify the landscape and identify the role that MediaCom (and WPP) can play in creating positive change to grow our businesses together. With responsibility for all senior client relationships, you will understand the need for transformation in modern business and provide strategic guidance in addressing that.

Responsibilities of the role


Client Service:

  • Be the key contact and escalation point for the senior clients, actively engage and build client strong relationships – become indispensable. 
  • Provide thought leadership, opinion and introductions to MediaCom’s specialist services
  • Improve SLA band position YoY at portfolio level

Strategy & Planning:

  • Plan the transformation (especially around digital & data) for the clients
  • Ensure that 2021 strategies built with clients by consumer group are being delivered
  • Replicate integrated, creative and effective success of ‘The Collector’ across all other consumer groups including NOWTV
  • Drive adoption of evidence-based planning across all consumer groups and work in sync with Digital Partner to deliver always-on learning loop between planning, execution and optimisation via Acceleration


  • Work with the Managing Partner to drive new revenue growth across the group, with particular focus on business science, digital consulting and additional services
  • Work with the Managing Partner to protect the financial health of the P&L. Maintain PRF, contractual obligations and realise new revenue opportunity presented by Incentivised Partner Programme.
  • Ensure that teams within the Sky Portfolio develop and maintain a rigorous set of operational processes around campaign budget management and reconciliation with a view to achieving zero financial write off in the year.   

Team Management:

  • Deploy and further stretch wholebrained team reorganisation within the Business Unit
  • Lead and inspire a team of 33
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness gains by bringing NOWTV into bigger Sky Group team
  • Maintain HIPO ratio of 20-25%
  • Create succession management plans within the team at BD and AD levels to create opportunities for individuals and the ability to flex resource & talent across MediaCom

  • Detailed knowledge of the commercial levers and profitability of our products to drive incremental and sustainable growth for our business
