The role sits within Wavemaker’s Worldwide Client Leadership Team and is critical to the success of our delivery on our key global clients.  The Worldwide Client Leadership is a global hub of client leaders who lead a varied mix of accounts across multiple markets. The team is dedicated to driving strong client relationships centrally and ensuring we are delivering our best work as Wavemaker globally across markets.

We work with clients such as ViacomCBS, McArthur Glenn, Perrigo, Evergreen and Zwift 

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong media knowledge across TV and Digital, with ability to review and have a POV on local market media recommendations
  • Experience in International network management role preferred. The role on both Perrigo and Evergreen requires regular communication with local market teams and ability to guide them towards a central vision is key
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and be able to co-ordinate multiple stakeholders, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactivity and develop an understanding of the client business, broader industry category as well as Wavemaker internal process and capabilities.
  • Ability to lead status calls with senior clients and voice opinions are important and the role offers opportunity for the candidate to develop in this area further.

About the role

Below is a broad outline of what key responsibilities of the Client Manager. However, the specific tasks will differ by client and will evolve based on updated scopes of work on a given client

  • Network stewardship – Develop a strong relationship with Wavemaker local client teams and work closely to help answer queries, brief them on central guidelines and help direct them on their responses
  • Annual planning support – Work with local teams to ensure their annual planning responses are challenged and improved YOY and that the teams follow the central strategic principles. Also collate planning responses and develop summaries with key highlights for top 10 markets
  • Co-develop media guidelines – Support Strategy Lead and Client Partner in developing brand media guidelines with inputs on media consumption, local plan performance and channel best practice
  • Digital Learning and Best Practice – The Client Manager will work closely with the Central Digital lead and Local Digital planners to set Test & Learn framework, guide local implementation and deep-dive into local learnings to be able to collate them, cross-share across markets and present back to Central clients; support internal teams with ad-hoc projects to build Digital capability
  • Status Calls and Business Reviews – Lead the regular status calls with the clients and network alongside Client Partner and input and lead Client Business Reviews as relevant
  • Global Media Spend reporting – Using the Global Media planning Tools reporting system (ideally with strong Excel, and Sharepoint skills), to ensure timely delivery of global spend reporting with key highlights of updates. The Client Manager has full ownership of this across both clients.
  • Remain up-to-speed with industry developments and constantly bring case studies and new ways of working to the Client Partner and the clients
