Role context:

International Airlines Group has been a Wavemaker client since 2017. Within this holding company we look after several brands; British Airways, IAG Loyalty, LEVEL, IAG Cargo. 

 

This role will be within Team Horizon, a fully integrated team made up of specialists from media (Wavemaker), creative (Ogilvy) and production (Hogarth). We deliver campaigns for IAG across 10+ markets spanning the full media mix. It is an unrivalled opportunity to work in WPP’s most integrated team.

 

As an Account Executive on Team Horizon you be working alongside the Account Manager in running the day-to-day business across a number of IAG campaigns, as well as supporting the wider team across a number of other projects.

 

This is an exciting, fast paced role which will allow you to build your media craft in a broad scope of disciplines whilst also growing your knowledge across the full comms mix. We work in an agile way where media insight helps directly inform the overall comms direction and leads to truly integrated work.

Core responsibilities:

As an Account Executive you will play a significant role in supporting the team in coordination and delivery of a range of global and regional projects. You will be required to juggle several tasks at once and so we are looking for someone who can work smart, fast and reactively, demonstrating excellent time management, switching between projects and meeting required deadlines.

Key day to day responsibilities include the below:

  • Assist planning leads with various tasks across a range of campaigns including audience insight mining, compiling media plans, compiling response to briefs and post campaign analysis decks
  • Liaise with activation teams and creative account management to ensure the smooth running of campaigns
  • Day to day contact with clients around ad hoc requests and campaign management
  • Proactively seeking new and innovative opportunities in market
  • Own weekly and monthly competitor reports pulling out key insights
  • Manage ad-hoc client requests from competitive reporting to financial queries
  • Learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of planning tools – including WM OS,  ComScore, AdDynamix, Telmar, TGI and NRS
  • Demonstrate and develop knowledge of the media marketplace and industry trends and build strong relationships with media owners
  • Own billing and invoicing requirements for clients, including campaign media reconciliations 
  • Leading small to medium sized briefs independently where appropriate

 

Required skills / experience:

  • Professional working experience is desired
  • Previous media agency experience is preferred, however isn’t mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi task
  • Detail orientated
  • Have a curiosity and passion to learn and develop
  • Demonstrate an interest and understanding in advertising and media
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong MS Office skills – PowerPoint, Excel & Word
