Role Description

As a dashboard analyst in MediaCom Systems Technology, you will be working with Tableau, Google Data Studio and Google Cloud to build engaging, high quality dashboards that support our planning and investment teams.

Don’t be put off if you can’t use these tools yet. We will teach you.

Our dashboard analysts are responsible for designing, building and maintaining a wide variety of reports, from daily campaign tracking, to one-off custom builds for our clients. Dashboard analysts lead on data visualisation best practices and help to select and present appropriate metrics to ensure that MediaCom’s marketing campaigns are effective.

Initially, this role will focus on maintaining and running existing reports, before expanding with experience into report design and building new interactive dashboards, particularly in Tableau.

You will work closely with our data engineers to visualise the data sources that they supply, but the ability to work on raw data pipelines and to manipulate data in databses is also very useful.

You have an analytical mindset, a good level of mathematical and data handling ability and a passion for solving problems. Previous experience with Tableau is an advantage but we would invite applications from users of other dashboard software and from advanced Excel users. MediaCom will train you in transferring your skills into being able to produce web-based Tableau dashboards that display high quality, interactive data visualisations.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintaining existing dashboards and ensuring robust output
  • Working with dashboard users to ensure that reports are used and to expand our range of reports
  • Visualising large datasets for understanding by a non-technical audience
  • Recommending best-practices for data visualisation
  • Designing interactive Tableau dashboards
  • Progressing towards building custom dashboard solutions for MediaCom clients



  • 1-2 years in a reporting or dashboard building role
  • Advanced Excel user and/or experience building with a web-based dashboard platform
  • Logical, problem solving mindset


  • Tableau
  • Google Data Studio
  • Experience with SQL
  • Building data processing scripts in R or Python
  • Experience of working with cloud databases, particularly BigQuery
  • Experience working with marketing and/or web analytics data
