Role Context

This is an excellent opportunity to help Data Strategy at a leading media agency through a new role within the team. Sitting within the broader Integrated Analytics setup, which encompasses the Marketing Science and Data & Technology teams, this role will take the lead on designing and driving data strategy across some of our largest clients to fuel digital transformation for your clients and the business. Close collaboration with Tech Ops, Data Engineering and Marketing Science will be needed to turn your strategy into reality.

About You

While this is not a hands-on technical role, you will have a technical background and be able to talk confidently about data & technology in a media context.

You will have significant client-facing experience, with an ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical audiences and to drive project success in fluid environments through collaboration with multiple stakeholders and minimal guidance.

 Your experience will also have included:

  • Extensive client-facing experience in a consulting, strategy or operations context
  • Building and driving strategy in data, technology or analytics
  • Driving successful digital transformation projects in media
  • Activation of advertiser first-party data in a variety of use-cases
  • Extracting value and insight from advertiser media/marketing data
  • Building measurement frameworks, testing plans & learning agendas
  • Working with advertising technology platforms (Ad servers, DSPs, Search, Social, verification etc.)
  • Working with marketing technology platforms (Web analytics, CDPs, DMPs, CRM integration)
  • Exposure to media activation across a variety of channels
  • Ideally, past experience optimising digital media hands-on in at least one channel

About the Role

You will work on some of our most strategic accounts, developing and leading the approach to all data inputs and outputs, working across audience data inputs from MarTech, CRM and elsewhere and data outputs from reporting, business intelligence and analytics.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with clients to align business goals with marketing objectives, focussing on how a strategic approach to data can enable this
  • Helping to develop Mindshare’s approach to digital transformation, identifying where your clients are on this journey and what’s needed to take them to the next level
  • Ensuring your clients have a data strategy in place that enables them to achieve their desired business outcomes through media
  • Working with Tech Ops to design, deploy and maintain the AdTech & MarTech infrastructure you require to set your clients up for success
  • Collaborating with Data Engineering to build the tools, dashboards and automation solutions needed to help make your data strategy a reality
  • Collaborating with Marketing Science to implement the analytics solutions your clients need to understand how media impacts business outcomes and shape their strategy accordingly
  • Helping to ensure a high level of data quality on your accounts, leveraging tools & automation
  • Defining and driving roles and responsibilities around data governance on your accounts
  • Working cross-functionally with Planning, Live Planning, Outcomes and Client Leadership to create, drive and embed client data strategies
  • Helping to develop, package and commercialise our Data Strategy offering
  • Engaging with peers across other markets, GroupM & WPP to develop best practice
  • Developing and harnessing relationships with key data & technology providers
  • Learning & development to ensure Mindshare stays at the forefront of the domain
  • Supporting New Business pitches as appropriate
