Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning Account Manager to lead our paid media strategy for one of our prestigious clients, Qualcomm. This is a unique opportunity to work with Qualcomm's consumer-facing brand, Snapdragon, as they make significant strides in the compute category, including the recent launch of a new generation of AI-powered PCs.
The Role
As the Planning Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the paid media landscape for Qualcomm in EMEA. You will develop and execute innovative media strategies that highlight Snapdragon’s cutting-edge technology and its transformative impact on the computing industry. This role offers the chance to be at the forefront of technology marketing, guiding Snapdragon's brand presence as they introduce a revolutionary type of computer.
This role is responsible for the digital planning and strategic integration of the Qualcomm activation hub, working closely with the channel teams, namely Social, Programmatic, Audio, OOH & CTV. The role will also involve planning Direct Partners (non-biddable) activities. We operate a fully integrated cross-digital channel approach to deliver Qualcomm media objectives.
This role is dedicated to coordinate integrated digital planning, client leadership and operational project management in the paid media engine, working alongside a specialist channel delivery team and an overarching digital Engine lead. Whilst being a key point of daily contact for Qualcomm clients and agency stakeholders.
Reporting Structure
The Planning Account Manager reports directly to the Business Director. You will work directly, day to day with our channel delivery specialists to ensure consistent high-quality output for our client stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate
The individual will be expected to use their own initiative to manage and coordinate workstreams to deliver integrated campaigns across social, programmatic, search and CTV platforms. The key principles of the role are:
Strategy & Planning
- Assisting Client Lead BD and strategist with global strategy alignment and creating regional strategy
- Leading client briefing on regional paid media objectives
- Owning market media planning & buying, briefing media owners and relevant stakeholders
- Collaborating with other offices on local market plans, ensuring alignment against regional/global media strategy
Agency Collaboration
- Working with other departments on OOS workstreams, including Customer Journey and Brand Measurement projects
- Responsible for briefing creative agency on media strategy, aligning on creative approach, and managing creative delivery
- Working with social agency on uniform approach to social campaigns, sharing paid media plans, social ads, collaboration on joint campaigns
Campaign Execution
- Briefing internal teams, assigning tasks, overseeing delivery and reporting working with Nexus Hub team or media owners for managed service activity
- Coordinating channel teams stakeholders and ensuring advancement of platform capabilities, building and managing maturity roadmaps
Reporting
- Managing the monthly report, working with channel teams and Nexus hub team to ensure that these are accurate, insightful and client ready
- Working with other departments to provide integrated quarterly brand measurement reporting
- Leading regional 6 month and annual paid media business review to provide a regional performance report, brand measurement and alignment/adjustment to regional strategy
- Supporting the Client Leadership BD on providing necessary information to Global team
- Managing ad hoc reporting requests from the client
Finance
- Owning campaign approvals
- Supporting AM on all media bookings and leading on finance queries

Essential Criteria
- Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and technology
- Proven track record of strong digital media planning & buying experience. Ideally local and regional/multi market
- Well versed in digital media planning across channels (search, social & programmatic display/video)
- Understanding of brand and demand media planning principles
- Experience in forecasting & scenario digital planning to deliver to client targets
- Excellent client facing communication & presentation skills
- Hands on knowledge tools such as Google Analytics, search trends, ad servers (e.g. DoubleClick), data visualization & analysis tools

Responsibilities
Drive Performance
- Focusing on integration to drive digital strategy & data driven marketing
- In partnership with planning and activation leads - lead the planning conversation for Qualcomm client stakeholders
- Lead and present strategies, media plans/ documents incorporating communication goals, recommendations, rationale, ideas and implementation, planning costs and budget splits and KPI’s
- Collaborate with team on plans, insights and recommendations
- Ensure reporting is focused on actionable insight. Be able to surface and share insights back to the client, and work with the team to surface optimisation opportunities
- Be able to articulate key drivers and barriers to delivering Qualcomm media targets
- Develop understanding of the Qualcomm business – across new cars, used cars, business, aftersales and subscriptions
Drive our Product
- Collaborate on a consistent, best-in-class approach to digital planning for Qualcomm
- Create and maintain account roadmaps for every market, covering testing, innovation, growth and other elements for your markets
Develop our process
- Manage digital cross channel planning processes & outputs across Paid Engine and local planning team
- Coordinate holistic media plans as a response to brief working with local Mindshare teams for non-digital and non-paid engine activity.
- Work with a project management solution to develop and streamline ways of working
- Drive integrated ways of working between the Paid Engine and Mindshare Local teams
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize jobs and manage own and the teams time efficiently
- Manage planning timeline and client requests efficiently for the team
- Ensure team delivering on the key deliverables from strategies to follow up actions/ tracking from calls to ensure the team is accountable
- Constantly review all optimization, budget management and other processes to identify opportunities for improvement in effectiveness or efficiency
