BACKGROUND

 

GroupM has created an integrated media team to service Lloyds Banking Group called Greenhouse, bringing together specialists across Data & Insight, Strategy, Planning, Activation, and Performance. Digital is at the heart of the business, with our Biddable team playing a pivotal role for the Group. We’re looking to expand our team with a confident, proactive Account Manager who can thrive in our fast paced, data driven environment.

 

LBG comprises some of the leading high street banking brands including Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows. As part of the Biddable team, you will be working closely with the Paid Search Account Director and Paid Social Account Director, with the opportunity to work across a diverse set of campaigns, brands and product lines.

 

ObjectiveS

  • Take ownership of all areas of day-to-day PPC and Social campaign management from initial brief, constructing a plan, billing and financial management, to post campaign performance reviews
  • To develop PAID implementation media strategies
  • To support the Account Director in developing investment-led strategies to meet our clients’ business objectives
  • Actively seek creative and innovative media solutions
  • Provide accurate and insightful data analysis to drive campaign effectiveness
  • Contribute to and present implementational plans and campaign results to clients, working closely with other disciplines within the agency
  • Ensure that all media buys are reconciled within 5 working days
  • Ensure that campaign naming convention is adhered to across Excel plans, ad-server, and Prisma
  • Accurate and timely administration of the billing process
  • Effectively manage and develop Account Executives and Account Assistants within the team
  • Assist the Account Director with management of all billing/invoicing requirements for clients
  • Ensure compliance with GroupM / WPP anti-bribery guidelines

 

CLIENT MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure all client requests are met and surpassed and manage client expectation effectively
  • Respond to all client briefs and requests in a timely, professional and efficient manner
  • Demonstrate an enterprising and pro-active attitude to all client dealings
  • Develop strong relationship with the client team at an appropriate level
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the client industry sector, the competitors within that sector and the general industry environment
  • Use GroupM tools to drive forward new channel suggestions and data-led recommendations
  • Develop the confidence to challenge briefs when appropriate
  • Understand and proactively manage short to medium term business objectives
  • Support Account Director in developing longer term campaign strategies
  • Responsible for ensuring all bookings are on the system correctly and on time for all media channels, minimising queries
  • Understand all buying guarantees that GroupM are contracted to deliver on your clients’ business
  • Understand the audit process and methodology for benchmarking your buying performance
  • Ensure all billing is received in the correct format and at the correct time
  • Ensure proper process is followed in relation to SOX compliance and plan approval/purchase order receipt before campaigns go live

 

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  Fulfil the role of an Account Manager through inspirational leadership and management of team members; ensure full engagement and motivation at all times.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensure effective management and participation in regular team status meetings
  • Consistent application of 'best practice' people management techniques learned from Active Management training e.g. giving regular performance feedback to team members, applying True Colours language
  • Effective performance management of team members and the active management of any conduct issues (e.g. attitude, timekeeping) or capability (underperformance) issues
  • Ensure that inspirational performance is recognised and rewarded e.g. ensure the right people are nominated for Greenhouse reward schemes such as ‘Green Giant Awards’

 

 

 

INTERNAL

  • Be a positive influence on team morale
  • Manage workflow priorities
  • Develop close working relationships with the other departments within Greenhouse to deliver an integrated service to clients
  • Supervise Account Executives buying performance, helping to form negotiation strategies that deliver to our clients’ buying guarantees
  • Gain a working knowledge of all relevant GroupM tools and systems and ensure they are applied to clients’ business at the appropriate time
  • Ensure all campaigns are delivered to GroupM / Auditor guidelines
  • Prepare and maintain an accurate reconciliation of all deal numbers and forecasts

 

 

 

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Develop strong relationships with relevant media owners at an appropriate level
  • Develop relationship with necessary external agencies on relevant client businesses to ensure integrated approach (e.g. creative)

 

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Strong Experience and understanding working across Google Ads & Bing Ads and understanding of Paid Search best practises.
  • Experience and understanding of working across one of these Social channels, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Experience in working with a third party bid management platform such as DoubleClick, Kenshoo and etc
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent mathematical and numerical skills
  • Ability to work with Excel to at least an intermediate level
  • A strong understanding of media tools and techniques, communication channels, acquisition media planning and reporting processes.
  • Strong analytical skills – evaluation of key trends in response data, market and media dynamics
  • An excellent understanding of the financial billing process e.g. Using DDS, Metis, Prisma
  • Understand conversion planning metrics - conversion rates, cost per acquisition, return on investment
  • Work flow management/time management, prioritisation of tasks within a team
  • A good knowledge of major industry research sources
