The Role

This role is Change Manager (FTC 12 months) working within GroupM UK’s Business Operations team, reporting to the Transformation Director.

GroupM UK is a leader in the advertising industry and the Business Operations team is instrumental in leading initiatives that future-proof our organisation.  GroupM is dedicated to delivering exceptional service, innovative products and cutting-edge technology to meet the evolving needs of our clients.  This is an exciting time to be in Business Operations and we are seeking a dynamic individual to join us as we pave the way for business change.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing people change and communications for our integration projects.  In addition to being adept at change management, the ideal candidate will bring robust problem-solving abilities, exemplary stakeholder management and top-notch communication skills.

Candidates should have a passion for change; be flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations; be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.

Business Operations Approach

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the change management for integration related projects in close collaboration with teams across the business; inside and outside of GroupM and including WPP, Technology, internal and third parties. 
  • Proactively identify, mitigate and manage anticipated resistance, issues, and risks.
  • Actively manage and communicate with stakeholders to ensure successful outcome; Accountable for preparing training documentation & communications across all channels & stakeholder groups.
  • Integrate change management activities into project and program plans.
  • Consult, train and coach projects teams and team leads on the change process.
  • Evaluate, monitor and ensure user readiness; facilitate sessions to support adoption.
  • Define and measure success metrics to monitor each stage of the change progress.
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Complete change management assessments and plans
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan

 

What you’ll bring:

In order to succeed in this role you will have….

  • Extensive change management experience in a fast paced and unstructured environment, Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • The ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with a range of individuals at all levels in the organisation; bringing people together to plan and execute change
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, to audiences of varying seniority. Strong structured communication skills (including listening) that works for audiences at all levels and enable you to translate messages in a straightforward and simple manner.
  • Have experience of conducting change impact assessments, developing communications and training material.
  • Identify and mange anticipated resistance. Be resilient and flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Developing customer documentation including formal requirements specifications, support, and training documentation, process definition facilitating.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Accelerated change by identifying performance gaps and developing and implementing action plans.
  • Experience managing business expectations in relation to factors such as feasibility and benefits.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process; experience with Prosci ADKAR® Model is a plus
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

 

What we would love you to have..

  • Experience in working in media business, strategy/planning/buying or program management in a media organisation
