Digital Account Manager

 

We are looking for a Digital Manager to join our planning team, working across client teams of Wavemaker Serbia (office located in Belgrade), and regional client/agency hubs within EMEA region.

Main role of this position will be to lead digital strategies and to ensure all digital planning and buying processes take place, while managing digital specialists (planners/buyers).

 

Reporting of the role

 

This role reports to Account Director, and also works directly with other Media Managers and digital specialists within the group.

Measures of success

 

In three months, you would have:

Begun to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and agency partners, becoming a trusted strategic partner.

Gained a strong understanding of the culture and values of Wavemaker.

In six months, you would have:

Established yourself as a key member of the Planning team, acting as an invaluable support to your colleagues and of course trusted agency partner to your clients.

Taken responsibility for agreed work streams, representing the work in status meetings, presented responses to brief to the clients F2F.

In 12 months, you would have:

A very clear and defined development plan, with clear objectives, identified training and development needs, to help you to grow. 

Be leading by example, inspiring and motivating the junior members of the team

 

 

Responsibilities of the role:

 

Build a strong relationship with clients, to become a trusted strategic partner

Lead internal and client status meetings (together with account directors/leads), working closely with multiple clients and agencies

Be the day-to-day primary point of contact for the brands you work on

Lead the development, sell-in and deliver the planning work on agreed projects

Assist in briefing media channel planning specialists on specific campaigns in areas of paid social, programmatic, search, google display and video and local direct buying of display and video inventory.

Be an expert in the local media market

Lead ad-hoc requests for clients

Manage the client finance / media delivery / reporting process along with other members of the team

Manage, and delegate effectively to, the junior members of the team

 

What you will need:

 

Experience and ability to understand various digital channels and platforms - such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platform, Facebook Business Manager / Excellence in PPC campaigns is a plus

Ability to work in English – across multiple parties in EMEA region (clients, central teams, support, etc.)

Ability to work in Excel

Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a team player mentality

Self-motivation

A thirst to learn – be that the client’s business, people, brands, industry, trends etc 

An ability to prioritise and delegate, as well as manage both up and down

Empathetic and self-aware mindset

A min experience of 3 years within digital advertising

Experience in a media agency is a plus, as well as experience with various ad servers
