Position Overview

GroupM are looking for an experienced business analyst to join a small but growing team who focus on the delivery of Agile and Waterfall IT projects.

Acting as a key liaison between various agencies/departments, suppliers and development teams, you will be collaborating with all stakeholders to help get projects we believe will deliver value move from inception through to delivery and beyond.

Key Duties

  • Support the BA Practice Lead in the operation and development of the business analysis function
  • Lead, support and mentor other BA’s across multiple projects
  • Effectively operate as the sole BA on large or complex projects
  • Regular and effective engagement with senior stakeholders
  • Play a key role in the preparation of business case and RFP documentation
  • Provide guidance in solution testing, ensuring business needs are met in UAT.
  • Make a significant contribution to process mapping strategy and business transformation
  • Elicit requirements using various methods such as stakeholder interviews and/or workshops
  • Interpret business issues, opportunities and user requirements and distinguish between the real business needs vs. user desires that support strategic business goals
  • Prepare and present relevant analysis documentation such as use cases, user stories and where appropriate, relevant business process documentation
  • Become part of the project governance function to ensure business requirements are understood, validated and met by the delivery team(s).
  • Where necessary, generate supplementary project documentation e.g. user manuals
  • Participate in project meetings to review progress, issues, risks and blockers including daily stand-ups, iteration planning meetings and retrospectives.


Required Skills & Experience

  • First class verbal, written communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders from developers to senior executives
  • An established business analyst with substantial experience with requirements elicitation, interpretation and delivery as the sole BA on major projects
  • A high degree of competence in analysis techniques
  • Experience managing business expectations in relation to factors such as feasibility and benefits
  • Thorough understanding of the SDLC of projects run in methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
  • A high level of technical knowledge allowing for good communication with development teams and efficient ways of working.

 
Desired Skills & Experience

  • Good working knowledge of the media industry, specifically advertising and its technologies
  • Experience working with distributed/virtual delivery teams and 3rd party software houses
  • Experience writing and executing UAT scripts
  • Possesses a good understanding of technology trends and movements
  • A good understanding of CRM systems i.e. Dynamics/Salesforce.com
  • Excellent Microsoft Office 365 skills (including knowledge of OneDrive, SharePoint, etc)
  • Good working knowledge of tools used for process modelling such as Blueworks Live or similar
  • Good working knowledge of requirements management tools such as TFS or JIRA
  • Business process analysis techniques such as Lean / Six Sigma

Qualifications

  • We are looking for a well-established business analyst with relevant, recognised, training or certifications
  • BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
