About Mindshare

Ours is the story of the eternal upstart and change is in our DNA. We were born with the ambition to change the world through media. Raised in Asia, we are now the world’s most geographically balanced global network spanning US, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Mindshare’s birth in 1997 shifted the focus from media as a pure commodity to media as a change agent.

Our ambition was to go beyond the traditional media descriptors of “Optimise, Capitalise, and Maximise.” We will not be defined by the formulaic definitions of media. Mindshare’s story is about teamwork. It’s why we called ourselves Mindshare in the first place! We were designed to be a global network, balanced in every region, with clients benefitting from both global and local insights. Today 75% of our business is global and our global network and integrated approach is our strength.

We are a global media agency network with billings in excess of US$31.4 billion (source: RECMA) and our network consists of more than 7,000 employees, in 116 offices across 86 countries. Mindshare is part of GroupM, which oversees the media investment management sector for WPP, the world’s leading communications services group.

Volvo and Mindshare

These are exciting times to be working with Volvo.  The car industry is being disrupted at a speed never seen before and Volvo have ambitious plans to lead the way in Electrification, Car Sharing, Alternative Ownership Models and Autonomous Driving.  The Volvo you might know has been eclipsed by a new, more premium and technology focused brand. They are launching better cars at higher price points and incorporating industry leading technology features into their vehicles. In 2018 the XC40 was awarded the 2018 Car of the Year across both Europe and the Americas. 2019 is the first year Volvo enter the all-electric category with the launch of the XC40BEV.

Expansion into China continues at pace. Volvo are one of the few car brands to currently be enjoying sales growth across every major market and targets for the next couple of years are ambitious.  2019 saw the global launch and roll out of the new Brand religion, a new positioning which will drive the future of Volvo cars.

We have been working with Volvo for 19 years and our current relationship spans across 35 markets, 3 regional teams and with global HQ based out of Gothenburg. The central Mindshare team is split between our London and Gothenburg office’s.
