About the team

The Operations team is responsible for establishing and powering operational excellence across GroupM Digital. Our team supports the business in two areas – Programmatic Operations & Business Operations and the team has business knowledge, expertise and experience required to support all of the different GroupM Digital operating models. Our team maintains the business systems and processes that are key to operate efficiently. Operations is also responsible for defining best practices and evaluating new products or solutions to ensure that we deliver excellent results for our agencies and their clients.

About the role

The Head of Product Operations is a key role, that ensures our business is set up for success. Focused on delivering technical solutions that bring efficiency and improved performance, this role will have deep knowledge of both internal team processes and needs and strong relationships with vendors and other GroupM & Xaxis teams to leverage the support that is available.

Within the Programmatic Operations team the role plays an active part in achieving the GroupM UK vision. The Operations team must innovate, looking for opportunity to automate and use new technologies to scale our effectiveness and efficiency to delight clients.

 

The Operations team is a hub of operational expertise and supports new media products and the review of new technology platforms from an operational POV. As an Operational expert in GroupM Digital you will drive and support opportunities to establish communities and provide direction using your expertise

Role requirements

Analytical thinking – to help create the world’s most advanced Intelligent Media capability. Able to create automated, scalable solutions to enable the delivery of business objectives. Strong understanding of database management and able to deliver solutions that will deliver efficiency and performance improvement.

Client-centricity – Champion the operational change needed within the new client-centric GroupM Digital. Support the Agency teams to build closer connections via consistent ways of working. Work with other teams including EMEA Marketing Science to provide client specific solutions for our top clients. Be an evangelist for the narrative that simplifies and clearly articulates the objective of the Operations team, highlighting the benefits they bring to our teams and their clients.

Business growth – Help deliver the operational excellence required to become the world’s most advanced Intelligent Media capability and enable our agency teams to deliver maximized profit from GroupM Digital’s products & services. Drive adoption of Copilot and automation initiatives providing simple solutions. Work with Product to define the operational requirements and develop a scalable solution for all new initiatives. Liaise with GroupM Media to represent the supply needs and to ensure that our client needs are met.

The skills we are looking for

Application of industry & technical knowledge – use a deep and broad understanding of programmatic operations to identify how GroupM can deliver operational excellence and delight our clients. With a strong technical understanding of various DSPs be able to deliver solutions that meet the business and client needs.

Professionalism – be well organized and deliver to deadlines. Balance open sharing of information with information security, and show integrity towards colleagues, suppliers, and clients. Keep a commercial focus within the operational approach.

Good communication – use active listening to take on feedback from multiple sources and use it to make decisions and problem solve. Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels in GroupM and the agencies, verbally and in writing, to promote good teamwork. Articulate the benefits of the Operations approach in a compelling and engaging way to maximise
