MediaCom handles the media planning and buying for some of the world's smartest advertisers.  Supported by keen consumer insight, analysis and experience, we are part of the largest media planning and buying network in the world.


We’re looking for a Senior Planner to work closely with the WEU adidas client(s) to successfully develop and manage multi-market campaigns for adidas retailer co-branded campaigns such as Foot Locker and JD Sports.


The client is eager to try new things and wants to create meaningful customer experiences through media. The role involves developing memorable campaigns that show creativity and that drive product desire.


The Team


MediaCom has responsibility for the adidas business globally and as part of the WEU Key Account Planning Team you will also need to consider how Key Account (retailer) media activities may disrupt other adidas global and local activities.


Programmatic and Social Media is bought both through centralised buying teams and on an individual basis with specific partners such as partnerships or editorial pieces with the likes of Vice, Hypebeast, Complex and High Snobiety.


Currently, wholesalers are responsible for 80% of adidas sales, this role plays in important part in adidas sales performance as well as upholding share of voice amongst other brands being distributed by key retailers. You will also have the support of a WEU strategist to create strategic direction throughout each key season – Easter, Back to School and Holiday


This is a huge opportunity to work a very exciting client with a real desire to be bold and disruptive in their advertising. Clients are based in Amsterdam; therefore, travel is required but is not frequent. There is also opportunity to get involved in adidas x Foot Locker in-store events and to scope out OOH and Experiential opportunities during store visits – both across WEU


The role


Campaign Management

  • Work with internal teams to develop and integrate media plans across digital media channels + editorial and OOH
  • Work with the WEU Strategist to ensure that plans match the agreed strategy
  • Presenting and modifying plans based on feedback
  • Work with internal teams to ensure that campaigns launch successfully and are tracked for performance
  • Create clear and insightful post campaign reviews
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the local markets to avoid campaign clash
  • Work with clients to resolve any issues or queries
  • Working knowledge of ad serving technologies
  • Ensure activity is billed correctly


  • Manage relationships with third party publishers
  • Understand digital channels and the roles they play, channels include; display, video, mobile, social, programmatic etc.
  • Understand the different OOH formats and how they can be used tactically
  • Collaborate with creative agency Intermarketing to deliver creative in good time
  • Provide recommendations to optimise and adapt campaigns based off current performance. Use these to inform future campaign planning
  • Be comfortable liaising with local markets
  • Be proactive in updating clients in media/vendor advances, offerings and trends


Skills, Behaviours and Experience Required


We are looking for someone who is inquisitive, proactive, and highly-organised


  • Minimum 18 months experience
  • Proven experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record in managing multichannel campaigns
  • Strong knowledge around display, ad serving and programmatic activities
  • Understand the campaign process from brief to PCA
  • Have a genuine interest in street culture, popular culture and youth interests
  • Good knowledge of emerging technologies and a view on the impact these will have
  • Confident communicator who is willing to be relied on by clients for perspective and advice
  • Pro-active, inquisitive, with good attention to detail
  • A team player who is hungry to learn
  • Excellent computer skills – Especially Excel and PowerPoint
