Role Objective

Excellent opportunity for an ambitious Digital Account Manager or Senior AE to grow as part of the global team on one of the agency’s largest B2B clients.

This role is a hybrid, combining channel specialism (Direct Digital & Lead Generation) with account management responsibilities, working alongside other channel specialists (Paid Search, Programmatic and Social) on cross channel strategy and planning.

The right candidate should have a strong digital planning and buying background and preferably have a background in Lead Generation campaigns planning and execution.

The right candidate should also possess excellent communication and presentation skills, excellent attention to detail, as well as a curious and analytics mindset. 

Account Managers (AMs) are the day-to-day focal point of the account. The AM is expected to have a solid understanding of the media landscape as it pertains to their client’s business. They are also expected to understand their client’s overall business and marketing objectives.

Alongside the Planning Director and AD, the AM is steward of the media planning process and is expected to provide mid-level strategic recommendations to the senior media team and/or the client.  The position is supported by the AE and reports to the Business Director. 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Channel Specific (Direct Display / Lead Generation): 

  • Being the main point of contact for clients for Direct (non-biddable) and Lead Generation campaigns 
  • Managing Digital display / Lead Generation campaigns throughout the campaign life cycle, from the briefing stage down to reporting 
  • Developing briefs for media partners, negotiating buying rates and putting together detailed media plans 
  • Work with media partners to ensure that the campaigns are optimised and delivering/exceeding client’s objectives 
  • Building strong relationships with media owners and increasing knowledge of the media landscape and new opportunities available 
  • Works with senior management and wider channel team to develop cross-channel strategies and plans 
  • Managing finances on the account to include booking the activity on the finance systems down to carrying out reconciliations 

Account Management / Client Leadership

  • Building, nurture and maintain trusting and collaborative relationships with clients
  • Managing internal deadlines with the channel teams, as well managing client expectations accordingly
  • In charge of coordinating cross channel reporting and working with the other channel teams to develop insights and recommendations
  • Look for opportunities to provide better client support 

Key Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

Essential:
  • Proven media planning/buying experience with a focus on digital

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Strong presentation skills
  • Fully confident in use of Excel, including pivot tables, reporting and analysis uses.
  • Proficiency in using PowerPoint.
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to relate results to client business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of key media planning concepts
  • General understanding of other media channels – digital and ATL
  • Passion for online advertising technology and innovation
  • Ability to form, maintain and own clients and publisher relationships 
Preferable:
  • Experience in planning and managing lead gen campaigns
  • Educated to degree level
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Understanding of key analytics platforms (GA, Adobe analytics, Datorama, Tableau etc)
  • Proficient in the use of media planning tools
