GroupM Finland including the agencies are currently approximately 100 people and we are located in superb premises with our WPP partners in Kiila korttelit in Ruoholahdenkatu 21.

We are currently strengthening our account leadership team and looking for an Account Manager or Account Director to take care of our upcoming projects.

About the role

You will be responsible for driving growth and developing client relations and support your team to succeed. You will assure that the projects are on time, within budget and correctly divided among the team members.

As the firsthand client contact, you will have a very important role in building trust and keeping the client up to date on the project.

In more detail, your responsibilities be:

  • Act as the main point of contact for the clients
  • Make sure we deliver high quality work within time schedule
  • Budgeting
  • Driving the client business forward
  • Receive briefs and brief the client team
  • Supporting the wider team in new business opportunities / pitches

Experience and skills to succeed in this role:

As our Account Manager/Director we appreciate if you are great at leading relationships with key day-to-day clients, as well as partner agencies. At best, you understand client industry category and business objectives well, and are strong, compelling and strategic in media planning and buying that delivers against client goals.

You may be the person we are looking for if you have…

  • 4-6+ years’ work experience within media agency business, other agency business, media or client side.
  • Ability to be a trusted partner and take a hands-on role with the account management, the team and media owners
  • Good understanding and awareness of marketing in general, current industry state of play and latest developments
  • Understanding of the strategic use of all media channels (Account Manager and Director role) and ability to develop media strategy that responds to client’s brief and business insights (Account Director role)
  • Good financial understanding and ability to effectively manage budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Finnish
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Innovative, adaptable and efficient
  • Team player, comfortable with assigning tasks to other people
