Precision Lead - Programmatic

Role context:

The WM Worldwide activation hub has seen large growth in the last 12-18months, with several key new business wins as well as growth across existing clients. Part of this growth has come from our increased capabilities in delivering strong programmatic solutions for clients. Our Trading team has grown significantly, and we are looking to bring in a Precision lead to help oversee the product moving forward whilst also working across several key clients within the Worldwide activation team. The role will report into the head of activation planning and encompass 2 key areas:


  1. Programmatic & Audience Led Planning Delivery: Leading the growing programmatic team and helping to define audience strategy for key clients.
  2. Digital strategy & planning oversight across key clients: Direct client responsibility across Adobe & Helly Hansen


  • Foster positive client relationships, becoming the key point of contact on planning and digital development initiatives.
  • Oversight of media planning deliverables across the clients listed above, ensuring the day-to-day activation teams are developing and delivering best in class planning output
  • Maintaining a positive team atmosphere within each client team, fostering a test and learn culture across the group.
  • Leadership of the programmatic trading team, ensuring they have a clear development path and are actively participating in delivering positive provocation for clients
  • Development and roll out updated best practice guidelines for audience planning and programmatic activation
  • Identifying key client development opportunities and setting the roadmap for how we can improve our output to clients
  • Working alongside audience planning specialists to deliver on-going thought leadership around programmatic and data. i.e. cookieless world.
  • Maintain understanding of major digital media channel developments and help to apply them to client strategies
  • Identifying growth opportunities for clients within data, technology, and content such as DCO, and audience planning
  • Support activation leadership team on new business and client growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain robust knowledge of Wavemaker & WPPs key proprietary tools and identify opportunities to share these with clients


The candidate:

  • Strong experience working in programmatic
  • In-Depth understanding of audience and data planning
  • 8+ years’ experience in media, ideally from an agency side background (client side or a mix will also be considered)
  • A digital practitioner with exposure to major global platforms
  • Client leadership experience, delivering excellence for clients
  • All academic backgrounds will be considered
  • Professional digital media/advertising qualifications will be of an advantage
