WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The SVP, product deployment & enablement oversees all deployment and enablement activity for the choreograph product & engineering team. The role reports to the President Product Deployment & Operations.

You will lead a broad team of deployment and enablement specialists that deliver cross pillar and platform deployment and adoption, enablement functions (marketing & comms, training, user support), and product steering structures, and communities. You will work in partnership with the pillars (Insight & Planning, Activation, Reporting & Analytics) to ensure consistency across products and regions, alignment and a positive agency/client experience.

You are responsible for cross pillar and OMS platform deployment and adoption. Individual pillar product deployment is part of the full stack product teams and is situated within the pillars. The SVP, product enablement roles in each pillar are accountable to the SVP, product deployment & enablement to ensure product deployment is delivered to a high standard and consistently across the regions.  

You are:

  • A proven senior leader with experience leading deployment and enablement functions with cross-functional, highly matrixed, multi-geographical teams.
  • Driven to see our OMS platform and products are well adopted and successful once in use by our client and staff.
  • Comfortable managing a broad, complex and rapidly changing landscape, identifying challenges before they develop and pivoting resources and priorities to keep on track.
  • An excellent communicator and storyteller with highly developed stakeholder management skills. You apply these across a broad range of roles from C-suite and ExCo level sponsors to product owners, architects, engineers and end users, gaining alignment over contentious issues and divergent opinions with ease.
  • An excellent listener who can balance multiple perspectives on opportunities, challenges and requirements and translate into action.
  • A commercial thinker who applies a business and profitability lens to your work.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO?

Strategic Leadership

  • Set a strategic vision for the Product Deployment and Operations function that excites and motivates the team and communicates the benefits of the function in choreograph and within wider GroupM.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the efficient and effective deployment and enablement of the choreograph Open Media Studio (OMS) platform and products across regions.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between deployment & enablement strategies and choreograph's product & engineering overall objectives.
  • Work in collaboration with the SVP, product enablement in each pillar and regional product teams to ensure OMS pillar deployment strategies are aligned.
  • Work in collaboration with the VP, OMS on WPP Open and broader teams to ensure OMS and Open deployment strategies are aligned.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders globally and regionally.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in product deployment & enablement.

Deployment

  • Oversee the end-to-end deployment of choreograph products, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction.
  • Manage the overall roadmap for agency and client product deployment at choreograph.
  • Deliver cross pillar deployments and the OMS platform deployment through a network of product deployment resources embedded across regions and markets.
  • Lead and manage change and adoption for the choreograph OMS platform.
  • Oversee a client and user centric, consistent and best in class deployment ways of working and process across the product & engineering team through working in partnership with the SVP, product enablement roles in each pillar.
    • Individual pillar product deployment is part of the full stack product teams and is situated within the pillars. The SVP, product enablement roles in each pillar are accountable to the SVP, product deployment & enablement.
  • Collaborate with choreograph's product development teams to ensure a smooth transition from development to deployment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across all agency and client teams, demonstrating deep knowledge of client challenges, deployment and resourcing needs, to set deployment efforts up for success.
  • Ensure clients and agencies have a successful onboarding to the products and platform through a scalable, robust, and rigorously monitored approach.
  • Ensures product releases are communicated with relevant stakeholders for Deployment and Enablement activities the product release cycle and communications.

Enablement

  • Deliver excellence in client and agency experience of the choreograph OMS products (and the OMS platform) through creating and delivering high quality product training, product support and marketing & communications across our OMS product set and platform.
  • Ensure that enablement functions are delivered consistently and are connected across all regions.
  • Work is close collaboration with the product & engineering team to ensure a high quality experience and the depth of content aligned to each product.

Marketing and Communications

  • Owns the strategic positioning of choreograph’s product(s) throughout the product lifecycle and customer experience.
  • Responsible for all product marketing. Develop clear, consistent and customer focused product marketing & communications for individual products and for the choreograph platform.
  • Tailor product marketing and delivery of messages towards target audiences and desired behaviour and outcomes (i.e. adoption, types of usage, advocacy, pitch success).
  • Partner with other enablement areas such as training and with areas across choreograph such as new business to ensure demos, sales presentations & training, FAQs, one sheets, and other supporting collateral have a consistent, customer focused messaging.
  • Contribute to overall choreograph strategic communications with the creation of product updates, client and end user benefits, product case studies and data-driven product implementation success stories.

Training

  • Establish and deliver effective product training which delivers measurable adoption and effective usage of our products.
  • Establish and drive standardised frameworks, processes and training measurements which delivers measurable adoption and effective usage of our products.
  • Work with the comms and marketing teams on, supporting materials, and communication strategies to equip users with the knowledge and skills to leverage product capabilities effectively. 

Product Steering Structures and Communities

  • Define the product steering structures for global and regional product requirements to govern platform strategy and individual product strategic and tactical development.
  • Put in place global steering committees and product/platform boards across the choreograph team and GroupM. Define the process for these steering structures and between these.
  • Manage and run the cross pillar and platform product steering structures.
  • Realise client and business-focused benefits by bringing together agency, group, and choreograph stakeholders through steercos, product boards and communities.
  • Drive product evolution and greater adoption through creating connections and building communities in agencies.

Product Support

  • Define and lead the strategic and operational product support model at choreograph.
  • Directly deliver 1st and 2nd line customer support for choreograph products, triaging issues and working with the product and engineering teams to resolve product and technical issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Oversee 3rd level support (which will be delivered through the product and engineering teams).
  • Ensure consistency of approach across regions and products, with a focus on the needs and experience of the user community across GroupM and the agencies.

GroupM Alignment & Stakeholder Management

  • Work collaboratively with broader GroupM functions to ensure consistency and alignment (i.e. in Marketing, Training).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across choreograph both globally and regionally.

 

Measurement, KPIs & Process Improvement 

  • Working with VP, Product Measurement, define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product deployment, support, steering structures, communities, and so on. These KPIs should be focused on ‘value add’ measures which are aligned to the broader choreograph product strategy (e.g. increased adoption of hero products across client teams)
  • Monitor and analyse metrics to identify areas for improvement. Proactively review and optimize processes where needed.
  • Ensure all KPIs are communicated across the choreograph, wider GroupM organisation, and that value of the Deployment & Enablement strategy is well understood.

Team Leadership

  • Build, lead and inspire an experienced team of deployment and enablement specialists to achieve choreograph Product and Engineering goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with SVP Product Enablement in each pillar team (i.e, Insights & Planning, Activation, Reporting & Analytics) to ensure we are acting as one team for product deployment and enablement.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging open communication and mutual respect.
  • Provide direction and support to team members, facilitating growth both personally and professionally.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, leveraging the strengths of team members.
  • Set clear expectations and goals in line with the company's vision and strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to enhance individual and collective effectiveness.
  • Steward the behaviours and ethos through communications, ways of working and building team community.
  • Participate in diversity & inclusion initiatives, ensuring they are central to the team ways of working.
  • Implement best practice in team management and people development in partnership with HR.
  • Partner with HR and VP, Team Operations in Product & Deployment to monitor core health metrics for the overall team and participate actively in the rhythm of business for both review and reporting.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing product deployment or related functions.
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and deployment and enablement processes.
  • Depth of knowledge of media planning & buying landscape. Desirable to have a good depth of knowledge of agency ways of working and clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management, business measurement strategies and frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to influence and align cross-functional, highly matrixed, multi-geographical teams.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on collaboration, consensus, and relationship building.
  • Exceptional resourcefulness and quick, practical thinking in a demanding environment.
  • A balance of empathetic and direct conflict‐resolution and problem‐solving skills.
