The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join Wavemaker working across a variety of brilliant accounts and all of their amazing products 

We have a great relationship with the clients across all pieces of business and the Planning Manager is a core liaison between media and these client teams. They support the Account Director and Client Lead in delivering first class communications plans and assist in managing the day to day running of the client accounts.

This role will also help support the Planning Executive, who will look to you and the rest of the team for mentoring and guidance, so we want someone who will lead by example and elevate planning within the team.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven client relationship skills and experience managing fast-paced accounts with multiple client contacts
  • Good organisational skills with proven ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Display rigorous planning expertise across everything they do
  • Work closely with and provide direction to our brilliant internal teams
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be just as comfortable leading a client meeting and presenting a response as with use of our planning tools, whilst managing budgets and keeping plans up to date

About the role

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Building strong client relationships and learning the clients’ business and ways of working to become a trusted main day-to-day contact for clients
  • Supporting the Planning Director and Client Lead to create informative and detailed strategic responses where required and own the planning process across all briefs
  • Management of the campaign throughout lifecycle. Ensure implementational plans are accurate and up to date and all post-campaign reporting is managed
  • Ensuring reporting and financial management processes are always excellent and met in a timely manner
  • Producing market insights (i.e. competitor reviews, tool analysis and consumer understanding)
  • Immersing yourself in the client categories, be passionate about it and be able to articulate the latest news and developments & translate what these might mean for our clients.
