Channel Solutions
Channel solutions exists to evolve how we engage with clients over the activation of media, its contribution to business performance and how integration of capabilities and thinking are the critical element to driving growth for clients. Optimising media isn’t enough, we need to understand the eco-system that influences true business performance, and the role media plays in influencing that.
As part of Channel Solutions, there is a collective of Channel management, the activation of media, Channel Strategy, the connection between media and business performance, and Channel Development, the project managers and integrators to capabilities that exist beyond media and into the wider network and client.
The Role
A role exists in Mindshare’s Channels & Solutions within a growing B2B direct Investment team. We are looking for an experienced Account Director who will play an instrumental role in further development of our B2B activation offering with a particular focus on the B2B lead generation channel – Content Syndication.
The candidate will be given ownership of ongoing client engagement, managing a team of AM and AE to support the Business Director whilst implementing the strategic vision across a range of B2B clients within the agency to drive demand generation transformation for their business. In this role, you will also work closely with Mindshare client teams across the network, Media Partners, Creative agencies & our 3rd party data validation partner.
The role will empower the candidate to be part of a growing expertise within the agency, learning & implementing best practices whilst supporting in developing new solutions to evolve our capability.

The Ideal Candidate
The candidate will report into the Business Director. Working within the Mindshare Channels & Solutions B2B direct investment team, they will be integral to developing & sharing B2B direct channel knowledge and contributing to expanding the activation offering to grow our expertise within Mindshare’s Channels & Solutions. The ideal candidate will be expected to use their own initiative in setting up processes and expectations for the team. You will be expected to lead by example, growing the client base by upselling new services and contributing to pitches.
Essential Criteria
- Substantial experience in digital paid media, with a focus on digital performance investment & campaign execution
- Exceptional project management and coordination skills, with a logical approach to problem solving
- Experience in developing and leading client relationships
- Exceptional people management skills, including support and development of at least two junior team members
- Exceptional executional performance: experience in developing & optimising performance campaigns targets is essential
- Extensive experience using 3rd party platforms like GA and other tracking solutions such as DoubleClick
- Ability to support the Business Director in developing wider individual channel strategies including year planning, audience development and creative solutions in line with client’s objectives.
- Expert knowledge of measurement capabilities and evaluate and implement opportunities that are of benefit to the client and future Programmatic activity
- Mindset towards process optimisation, both through manual processes and through technology
Desirable Criteria
- Extensive Experience buying performance media channels, in particular Content Syndication
- B2B marketing background
Responsibilities
- Become an expert in all B2B activation channels offered by Mindshare
- Apply best practice rigor to the execution of campaigns
- Constantly review all optimization, budget management, task management, testing, and other processes to identify opportunities for improvement in effectiveness or efficiency
- Maintain a positive attitude towards all areas of our work and looking for opportunities and solutions from challenges
- Ensure briefing, planning and finance processes are strictly adhered to by the team
- Take responsibility for the output of the team, both client facing and operational
- Take responsibility for the junior team’s development and career progression within the agency
- Support Business Director in development of Channels & Solutions B2B solutions product
- Build a reputation as a trusted advisor for internal and external stakeholders
- Play an active role in pitches, and other cross agency initiatives
- Keep up to date with industry developments in order to offer POVs
- Be the central client contact for your client portfolio, establishing a trusted relationship with key senior clients
- Build and maintain relationships with Client Leads, offering strategic guidance (in line with BD’s vision) to help grow the business and strengthen the relationship
- Surfacing the best work within the team and promoting this internally and externally via case study submissions / award entries etc.
- Contribute to key industry events and represent Mindshare externally
- Contribute and leads aspects of New Business, as well as upselling and cross-selling of services and capabilities.
- Play an active role in the recruitment and interviewing process to build strong teams
- Develop and maintain on-boarding process for new starters
