Xaxis is looking for a Programmatic Trader to join the Romanian Team. The Programmatic Trading team is at the heart of all Xaxis activity, and is pivotal to the success of each campaign that is executed. The team works closely with all other teams within the Xaxis family from Engagement and Analytics to Data and Product. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, enthusiastic and is flexible with embracing changes and new challenges.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Gain an in depth understanding of the programmatic landscape
  • Undergo Xaxis Trading Induction training on the various Xaxis platforms and tools and have an understanding of how Xaxis operates
  • Understand the features and metrics used in programmatic buying, the structure of various tables and their linkages, as well as how to procure relevant data sets from DSPs
  • Certified on key platforms and technology Xaxis Traders utilise
  • Form an understanding of all brand-safety elements, including viewability, ad fraud and the context in which advertising appears. Get familiar with different brand safety partners and their technologies.
  • Up to speed with the various DSPs beta offerings and formulating test and learn initiatives for the local market

In six months:

  • Independently work on subject matter topics assigned to provide best practices and learnings to traders
  • Develop relationships and earn trust with your own team as well as the local market team including Client Development etc
  • Support local market and promote machine learning usage
  • Incorporate and recommend other aspects of the Xaxis business including audience planning and insights, Xaxis products and Xaxis Marketplace as part of the overall campaign execution
  • Continue to refine gaps/processes/tools to improve campaign performance and efficiency

 

In twelve months:

  • Be an integral part of the team and add value in all aspects assigned
  • Be confident to hold training sessions when needed
  • Be knowledgeable to run omni channel campaigns
  • Be a trusted advisor on Trading queries
  • Be motivated to always Test and learn, share and seek different optimization tactics and knowledge share with the wider trading team

Responsibilities of the role:

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Work with local engagement team on pre-campaign planning  
  • Strategize and oversee campaigns on the DSPs and ensure optimal delivery and performance
  • Use and analyze campaign data to develop insights and strategies for campaign optimization
  • Deploy testing methodologies on campaigns under the guidance of Programmatic Trading Manager
  • Assist in pitch preparation
  • Work closely with assigned local/EMEA traders to improve knowledge (e.g Xaxis’ proprietary AI platform), impart best practices and share back good practices with the regional and wider team
  • Work closely with our vendors / DSPs  and internal teams to address and resolve process and technical issues throughout our business workflow.

 

 Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Bridge the gap between sales (Engagement) and Trading
  • Be creative - develop and share test and learn campaign optimization strategies to drive learnings and better campaign performance
  • Become a trusted advisor and expert within the programmatic trading field
  • Actively engage in learning about other technologies and offerings
  • Take an active role in developing broader programmatic strategic recommendations and best practices that can be applied

What you will need:

  • 2-3 years professional experience with digital marketing agency, ad network or other digital media company
  • Ability to execute programmatic campaigns with experience including DSPs/SSPs, RTB, ad exchanges, DMPs, audience targeting
  • Applied knowledge of 3rd party ad serving, website tracking and associated technologies
  • Additional bonus to have past experience managing digital ad campaigns from implementation , optimisation to reporting for search/ social/ecommerce campaigns
  • Knowledge and passion for digital marketing and Machine Learning: digital display, digital branding, video & mobile
  • Bachelor degree in any of these disciplines are welcome
    • Computer Science/ Information Technology
    • Statistics, business analytics, or related quantitative program
    • Marketing, Mass Communications, Arts
  • Result-oriented with strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and under supervision once objectives have been set
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment
  • Good command in written and spoken English
  • At least basics in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment - harvest vast amounts of information, news, data, and research and distill the most important/relevant information for your agency team and their clients.
