About the role

The EssenceMediacom Global Investment Unit evaluates our advertising pricing performance across TV, Digital, Paid Social, Out of Home, Radio, Print, Cinema, and provide insight to clients on areas where they can get a better deal.

In this role, you will be working with one of the world’s largest advertisers, Bayer, as well as other smaller clients depending on business needs. This allows for exposure to several methodologies and investment management programmes. Supported by GroupM, you will be involved in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across these truly global clientele to deliver their transformation goals.

Through this role, you will build a comprehensive knowledge of how media is traded in each country, liaise with colleagues around the world, and gain a holistic view of how advertising is bought around the globe.

You will be joining a team to support the stewarding and delivery of our clients’ global value commitments and reporting this analysis to your line manager and other senior members of the team. As part of the wider market-leading Global Investment unit, supported by GroupM, this position offers several opportunities for future career growth and development across client work and projects at EssenceMediacom.

The role will report into a Manager or Associate Director and involves frequent exposure to senior members of the team and media auditors.

Specific responsibilities

  • Collecting, cleaning, and analysing media buying performance data across multiple markets and all media channel (emphasis on TV and Digital)

 

  • Help generate regular client reporting documents, including quarterly business reviews and audit reviews, with the assistance of your manager.

 

  • Supporting in status meetings (internal & external), following discussion, taking notes/actions and contributing where relevant

 

  • Develop strong relationships with EM local market teams and media auditors.

 

  • Developing knowledge of how media buying, and performance tracking works and the various methodologies used to track and quantify savings delivery.

 

  • Supporting the team with ad hoc client requests, when necessary

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience 

  • No prior experience needed, though a strong desire to learn is required.
  • Great numerical skills and a proficiency for problem solving.
  • Proactive, a self-starter, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Patience, resilience and the ability to get the job done.
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills.
  • An interest working in the advertising industry.
  • An interest in working globally across international markets: appreciates and recognises cultural sensitivities and adopts their approach accordingly.

 

This role is based in London, UK. All candidates will need to have right to work in the UK.
