The GroupM Global Investment Systems (GIS) team build and support scalable global platforms that bring together data, intelligence and insights for our local, regional and global trading and investment teams.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful business engagement and delivery of projects that form a suite of investment reporting systems and analytics applications. Delivery will be to a range of markets across EMEA and potentially into APAC and Americas over time.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Project Manager are:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders including business sponsors, product owners, development and support teams, and other parties involved in the successful scoping, development, testing, delivery, implementation and onboarding for the systems and applications
  • Provide the primary point of coordination between local market delivery teams and global delivery teams
  • Coordinate and oversee stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring continued alignment with local and global strategies
  • Work with local markets to define, structure and deliver projects against a phased program of work based on a generic plan which is tailored to individual markets
  • Look for opportunities to reduce/remove unnecessarily duplication and complexity within both technology and business processes
  • Define, produce and maintain the required project management artefacts to support delivery
  • Ensure a continued focus on providing genuine business value and benefits (i.e, business benefits, not just technical delivery)

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years commercial experience in a Project Management role
  • Formal project management training (e.g. PMI, Prince2)

 

Experience & Skills

Essential

  1. Experience working closely with development teams (agile/scrum development, near-shore and off-shore), products owners, end users and business stakeholders
  2. Experience with successful business adoption of new technology (i.e., not just delivering up to technical go live)
  3. Experience scoping, producing and maintain core project management artefacts including – but not limited to - project proposals, busines cases (incl. benefits realisation), budgets, plans, timelines, status reports, risk/issue logs, and stakeholder management plans.
  4. Proven stakeholder management skills working with all levels of an organisation
  5. Planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
  6. Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills
  7. The ability to quickly learn and understand new business environments
  8. A proactive “can do” attitude and a willingness to be “hands on”
  9. A natural desire to share knowledge and teach others
  10. The ability to travel internationally (infrequently)

 

Desirable

  • Experience working in a media investment and/or ad tech environment – in particular with TV, Video, OTT, CTV, and Programmatic (DSP/SSP)
  • Project delivery across multiple countries and time zones
  • Business change / transformation management training and experience
  • Experience with the Microsoft product suite including Azure (PaaS, IaaS), .NET, SQL, Azure Dev/Ops (TFS), Power BI, Teams, Sharepoint, and Visio
  • A good understanding of media and technology trends and movements
