Systems Tech are MediaCom’s Data and Technology experts transforming MediaCom into the agency of the future. Technology is a key enabler for MediaCom, helping reduce costs and create new products that drive revenue and business growth. Systems Tech are a global team of technology consultants, project managers, business analysts, data engineers, software engineers and data visualisation experts delivering technology solutions with the business.

  • Implement technology to improve the way MediaCom works for our staff and Clients.
  • Transform data into meaningful information to enable Clients and staff to make informed decisions.


As part of our services, we build applications that help agency teams, as well as our clients, to streamline and optimise their work. Examples include tools for media plan management and optimisation, campaign approvals, creative analytics, ecommerce audit, data visualisation and reporting etc.


The team also work in partnership with GroupM and WPP, providing the MediaCom voice to steer the new Planning, Audience, Activation and Reporting tech platforms planned for 2021 and the future.

Objectives of the Role: 


We are looking for someone to join us on a 12 month maternity cover contract to plan and implement new, as well as optimise existing user interfaces for MediaCom’s strategic toolset, as well as develop an effective workflow which will establish UX optimisation as an integral part of product development at MediaCom.




Key Areas of Responsibility and Accountability:


  • Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for MediaCom’s core tools
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data and technology expertise to constantly improve interface design – with the focus on increasing tools’ usage, improving ease of use and achieving positive user feedback.
  • Conduct user research (surveys, interviews, usability tests etc.) to understand business and process challenges and address them with effective UI solutions
  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts and developers for aligned approach to feature roadmapping, UI solutions and development
  • Create wireframes, sketches, storyboards, user flows, user journeys, personas and presentations to communicate your work.
  • Apply agile ways of working to deliver best outcomes and continuous improvements in UI; effectively manage project timelines to deliver on time and on spec; monitor and communicate progress to stakeholders

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience


  • Experienced UX designer: experience in UX/UI design required, with good understanding of digital interface design and focus on business/internal tech products desirable
  • Working knowledge of specialised software (e.g. Balsamiq, Adobe XD, Figma)
  • Creative thinker: ability to come up with untrivial design-led solutions to business challenges, with the focus on simplicity, intuitiveness and ease of use 
  • Analytical interpreter: ability to translate complex requirements into clear and simple user interfaces
  • Self-sufficiency: ability to learn quickly with minimal direction, to proactively prioritise and deliver without close supervision
  • Detail oriented: ability to identify and interpret intricacies of specialist workflows, and to learn specifics of a variety of tech solutions used within the agency
  • Researcher: familiarity with some research methods (surveying, interviewing, focus groups etc.) and ability to gain relevant insight from research
  • Strong communicator: ability to articulate and defend design choices to both the product team and business stakeholders
  • Multi-tasker: ability to work with multiple products simultaneously, to react constructively to frequently changing priorities and timelines while maintaining high quality output
  • Team player: willing to pitch in to get the job done


Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience


  • Digital media experience, including knowledge of media management platforms utilised across different channels
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and ability to work in an agile project management structure
  • Working knowledge of project management tools (in particular Asana and Wrike)
  • Experience working with software developers and engineers
