 Planning Manager – Citroën and AKZO


Job Overview

We’re looking for a smart and passionate Planning Manager who would like to be part of a hardworking and energetic team working across our automotive and home improvement clients, Citroën and AKZO. These are two hugely ambitious clients who both have exciting futures ahead of them as they launch new brand positionings in the UK; the Mediacom team are required to play an integral role in shaping this.

Who does the role report into?

You will report into the Associate Director

What are the 3 best things about the job?

  1. You will own campaign briefs from beginning to end and be responsible for their full delivery
  2. You will work with some of the best digital practitioners in the agency to advance your understanding of digital and evidence-based planning sits at the heart of what we do
  3. You will have the opportunity to work with a large range of people from across the Mediacom business and be the conduit between these functions

What are the measures of success?

  • Being an established member of the team and a key point of contact for the day-to-day clients
  • Deliver brilliant campaigns which evidence the 5 key components of great work – smart use of data, a killer insight, a strategic twist and disruptive execution
  • Support junior members of the team in growing their planning skills and ensure they have a growth plan in place
  • Ensure day-to-day running of the account is smooth and efficient, which will be reflected in good client feedback

What would you expect to achieve in the first 3 months?

  • Lead on a brief and plan media to the highest possible standard across all channels
  • To lead, inspire and manage your part of the day-to-day planning output.
  • Become a key point of contact for the day-to-day client stakeholders

What would you expect to achieve in the first 6 months?

  • Used your media knowledge and strong relationships to inspire and challenge the clients
  • To have built and maintained strong relationships with other Mediacom functions, key industry partners and clients other agencies.


What will you need?

  • Strong experience in a media planning role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Strong Digital knowledge and experience an advantage
  • Strong sense of initiative and an ability to self-start, taking a project from start to finish
