Context of the role


A role exists within Mindshare on a growing Paid Search specialist team.

Reporting into the Paid Search Account Director, your role will be focused around managing a team of Paid Search professionals, dedicated to producing the highest quality of work within agreed deadlines. You will ensure your team has the necessary tools and skills to maintain the Mindshare best practice approach, ensuring all our clients’ needs are met and expectations exceeded within multi-channel campaigns.



About you


  • Exceptional hands on Paid Search experience and comprehensive knowledge of best practice.
  • Experience supporting, developing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Experience managing DR campaigns, optimising accounts to achieve performance targets.
  • An expert in using audiences to optimise Paid Search campaigns.
  • Preferable experience applying scripts and automation to optimise and complement campaign management tasks.
  • Proficient in using advance features available within search management platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Search Ads 360 etc.
  • Able to clearly articulate the rationale for proposed campaign tactics.
  • Aware of how search can integrate with other digital and offline channels.
  • Able to devise a testing approach delivering statistically significant results and insight.
  • Experience working with client leadership, developing day to day client relationships.
  • Analytically minded with good attention to detail, able to identify trends in large data sets.
  • A high degree of numeracy and literacy are essential.
  • Highly literate in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word e.g., creating and formatting presentations, pivot tables, Excel formulas, creating graphs and tables etc.

About your experience


  • Proven experience in channel working at agencies / clients.
  • Proven experience in team management and/or mentoring and coaching others.
  • Experience gained working with the relevant technologies.
  • Passionate about the internet and technology, with a keen interest in the development of PPC as a channel, keeping track of new developments within the industry.

About the role


  • Leading the planning, creation, and on-going management of Paid Search campaigns.
  • Carrying out health checks on Paid Search accounts to ensure they are set up and running as per Mindshare best practice.
  • Proactively performing regular optimization of accounts, monitoring market changes and identifying development opportunities.
  • Creating and leading the execution of development and testing plans including media owner betas where possible.
  • Preparing presentations and leading client calls and face to face meetings
  • Working with the AD to devise campaign strategy and translate this into campaign delivery
  • Develop and manage your Paid Search team to an industry leading standard.
  • Responsible for quality of all work output from your team across all clients; ensuring that it conforms to agency best practice.
  • Monitor client results and delivery against forecast & provide clear strategic direction on how to improve performance.
  • Challenge & interrogate briefs, ensuring delivery is of the highest standard, on time and in line with agency values.
  • Build & maintain project and account development plans outlining all key tasks for clients. Ensure work is always in line with client's overall strategy.
  • Accurately forecast potential delivery & ROI for existing & new clients.
