What makes working in the AV team so good:

Working with huge, globally known brands we pride ourselves on being a welcoming and friendly team that don’t just see each other as colleagues, but as part of an extended family – something we demonstrate through our development, wellbeing and social initiatives:

  • Development. The growth and career progression of team members is at the heart of everything we do. We offer our team ongoing support throughout their career, including an annual in-house training syllabus, external training opportunities, mentoring programmes with access to senior members of the agency.
  • Working on the frontline of a rapidly changing and evolving industry we are keen for team members to expand their knowledge away from non-core AV disciplines whether that’s though media owner interaction or through a vast catalogue of training around areas such as social, influencer led and programmatic media.
  • We invest heavily in staff development. Training is extensive from the most junior level with mock pitches, cross-media training, and learning modules in conjunction with the GroupM University. We work hard to create a coaching culture across the agency and have launched training programmes including a “Future Leaders Programme” which is a 12-month modular learning course designed to accelerate staff development and to expose employees to new areas of the business, and in January 2012 Huddle was launched- an innovative future planning discussion collaborating across our global network. Find out more here:
  • Wellbeing. As important as our work is, it shouldn’t come at the expense of the individual’s health and wellbeing. We offer 25 days’ holiday from the get-go, increasing with length of service. Everyone also gets an hour a week to take to take off work and use it to do something that helps the individual’s wellbeing – whether that’s a going for a walk, reading a book or just having a lie in! We also offer subsidised gym memberships, private medical (BUPA) and life assurance. We also have a range of on-site services including health screenings, financial management workshops, manicures and massages.
  • Social. Mindshare hold social events for everyone including festive and summer parties and monthly get-togethers. February 2012 saw Mindshare’s first subsidised ski-trip, which was continued since
  • Social opportunities are crucial in keeping, what we believe is, the best team culture in the industry. There are regular agency socials, but we make sure these are all underpinned by our AV social committee who produce subsidised team activities, nights out and departmental parties for the AV team.

Since joining Mindshare almost two years ago now, I have learned more than I had ever imagined. I feel immersed in my work here and the best part is that it is an ever-changing industry; there is always more to learn and always a different way to approach the job. Mindshare is a great company to begin a media career as it is known worldwide and the training it offers is unlimited.”
