We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Growth team. As Growth Operations Director, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality outputs across multiple international and local clients pitches in Malaysia 
 
As such, this is a fabulous opportunity for an ambitious and proactive individual to truly excel in a position that plays a key part to the end-to-end pitch process and contribute to the wider team’s collective new business and retention efforts. 
  
  
A seasoned project manager with the proven skills to deliver high quality pitch responses effectively, and efficiently.
Core responsibilities include:  
  • Organisation of complex pitch schedules to ensure pitch team and senior stakeholders deliver high quality responses to the set deadlines  
  • Manage agendas, minutes and follow ups for all internal meetings/review sessions 
  • Manage the creation and submission of RFIs/RFPs/other written documents and pitch presentations  
  • Support the Growth Team in promoting GroupM market leadership initiatives/events. 
  • Manage the creation of a wide range of pitch content and collateral, from creating videos to developing pitch theatre assets, working alongside both our in-house design studio and freelance support  
  • Coordination and management of all pitch logistics – rehearsal plans, pitch rooms, catering, travel etc 
  • Post pitch organisation (e.g. run evaluation surveys, file great work..)  
  • Support with the financial management of pitches – tracking the allocated budget costs  
  • Ongoing maintenance and updates to the growth SharePoint hub, and GroupM Way to Win document/s  
  • Management of uploading and updating growth pipeline within Salesforce, and also importing key contacts and tracking engagement of communications within the GroupM CRM system. 
  • To support GroupM market leadership with initiatives -  
  • Ensuring network rankings are kept updated within credentials/market one pagers 
  • Support the wider growth team with prospecting efforts  
  • Support on ad-hoc local market requests  
  • Support the wider growth and clients team on the creation of thought leadership. 
  • Collaborate and partner with regional and global growth teams 
  
Measure of success 
  
In the first 100 days, you would have:  
  • Become fully accustomed to our network propositions  
  • Shown the confidence and ability to seamlessly project manage each stage of the pitch process 
  • Displayed excellent organisation and attention to detail across all deliverables  
  • Gained positive feedback from stakeholders and the wider team  
 
In the first year, you would have:  
  • Built strong relationships across GroupM local, regional and global growth teams 
  • Become the ‘go to’ person for any ad-hoc requests, with a confidence on where to source the information in order to provide a rapid response  
  • Shown the confidence and ability to seamlessly project manage each stage of the pitch process, often juggling multiple projects at once
  • Ongoing, you will:   
    • Continue to think of new and better ways to optimise the pitch process, both from an operational and creativity perspective  
    • Continue to build your knowledge of the network in order to gain more experience in how best to write a compelling pitch narrative  
    • Explore new technologies that will help improve the way that we run pitches 
    KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 
    • Proven experience of running complex projects across markets and disciplines 
    • A detail-orientated, proactive and results driven individual, with an enthusiasm to get the job done  
    • Extremely organised, with the ability to confidently prioritise tasks  
    • Ability to work well in a team and build strong and productive relationships with all departments across the group to get the best work out of a pitch team  
    • Brilliant time management and confidence to deliver when working under pressure  
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Confidence in shaping content for written submissions and presentations and understanding of what constitutes clear and compelling storytelling  
    • Creative mindset, always looking for new and interesting ways to deliver high quality pitch theatre 
    • A good grasp of media network culture, experience of working in a similar environment preferred 
    • Willingness to travel 
    • Hunger to learn and continuously improve
