Content Planning Intern
Duties and responsibilities
Key responsibilities as a Content Planning Intern:
- Support the media agencies across GroupM and GOAT team in creating proposals using the GOAT Brand AI Influencer Advocacy proprietary tech platform, based off campaign briefs received from our Media Agencies
- Assist in matching clients’ campaign brief with the right digital partners’ (both publishers and KOLs) profile via the GOAT Brand AI Platform
- Familiarise and assist in the creation of Insertion Orders (IOs) between GOAT and its partners as well as our Media Agencies
- Consolidation of all campaign invoices for monthly forecasts and assist in updating all signed IOs onto BMD/BCC system regularly
- Ensure all campaigns are updated and aligned in sales report for bi-weekly and monthly tracking purposes once IOs are signed
- Assist in monitoring all signed campaigns closely with Media Agencies and GOAT Partners
- Assist in end-to-end monitoring of campaign performance within the campaign period
- Preparing interim and post-campaign report when campaigns are completed
In the first month and within three months:
- Develop a strong understanding of the daily operations of digital content planning, and implementation and can work independently with minimal supervision and errors
- Develop strong and effective internal relationships with key stakeholders, such as agency leads, finance teams, media vendors and publishers to achieve goals
- Understand how to support in the creation of content strategies and how to sell GOAT to agencies and their clients
- Familiar in the execution of content campaigns and understanding all steps- especially with the booking, implementation and post-campaign processes.
In three to six months:
- Familiarised in executing campaigns from start to finish and to achieve objectives within the determined campaign period
- Understanding the work processes of media vendors, publishers and influencers and aligning them to the client’s needs, including campaign timelines, KPIs and deliverables
- Develop a content-first perspective in assessing the creatives and performance branded content across various digital formats, such as articles, videos, social snacks and influencer formats.
In 12 months (not applicable for interns less than this duration):
- Able to completely grasp the systems and processes of the GOAT team and can proactively propose ideas and processes that will improve the overall workflow
- Continue role of being an “agency guardian” and taking ownership of individual self KPIs and collective team billing targets
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications and experience:
- Strong passion to understand media, digital content and campaign implementations
- Candidates in any of the following courses - Advertising, Communication Arts, Communication Research, Communication Technology, Integrated Marketing, Interdisciplinary Studies or other related courses
- Excellent communication skills, with strong analytical skills
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to negotiate with agencies and publishers to ensure campaign objectives are met
- Strong attention to detail and a process driven mind-set, with excellent time-management skills and a penchant for prioritization
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint – and reporting tools
- Personal development: Take the time to learn about your colleague's discipline and educate yourself across the best practice in digital content, as well as a broader understanding of the overall media landscape.
- Team player and is able to work independently when required
- Able to apply the relevant elements from the INCA platform into proposals based on the campaign brief received
- Able to understand and capture the key points in the brief requests
- Able to provide recommendations of relevant and suitable partners and formats to address brief objectives and within the budget
- To be pro-active and meticulous, ensuring accurate data is transferred and reflected on documents before signing off.
- To possess project management skills to manage multiple partners/campaigns/requests from internal parties in a timely manner.
- To have the knowledge of report-reading sent by partners and assist in extracting the relevant data to be shared with the agencies for their client.
- Understanding of digital terminology to extract correct information to be reflected in post campaign report
- To be able to evaluate partners independently to ensure only credible digital partners are introduced to the agencies
