GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are looking for an Associate Commercial Director to join our Finance team.  
 
Reporting of the role
This role reports to: CFO 
 
The position
  • Act as Key Finance Partner and Commercial contact of Business Team Heads
  • Manage regional reporting tasks and work closely with agencies and reporting team for revenue forecasting/budgeting and analysis
  • Manage the Commercial team in overseeing commercial matters, contract negotiations/fee proposal, ensure that all client contractual obligations are being adhered to and maximize net sales generation and client’s profitability
  • Business partner with agencies as and when required on key pitches and tenders
  • Oversee financial risk exposure related to commercial activities including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate exposure
  • Review regular or ad-hoc client’s reports and ensure financial information are accurate and timely
  • Lead client and trading audits to ensure compliance  
  • Act as SOX/Internal Control owner and implement effective controls on revenue, media and client related policies and procedures. Responsible for designing or modifying controls to improve their effectiveness.
 

Requirements:
  • Degree holder or above, preferably in Business/Commerce/Legal/Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum 10 year relevant experience where at least 5-year as supervisory/ managerial level
  • Experience in Marketing Communication/Media/eCommerce would be an advantage
  • Good conceptual knowledge in legal and contracts
  • Experience in working on or leading projects
  • Proven leadership skill, problem solver with energetic and dynamic, and the ability to perform multitasks under pressure
  • Well organized and detail minded
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, multi-tasking skills and networking capabilities
  • Good team player, pro-active, aggressive and result oriented
  • Good command in both spoken and written in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Proficiency in MS Office
