Measures of success –
In One Month, You Will:
- Have a strong understanding of the organization’s data landscape, infrastructure, and ongoing initiatives.
- Set up the foundation for your team, including key hires, onboarding processes, and training.
- Establish key relationships with stakeholders across local markets to understand their data needs and opportunities.
- Begin overseeing the development of initial data reports and visualizations, contributing to business decisions.
In Three Months, You Will:
- Lead a fully functional data insights team that is working collaboratively with business units to uncover insights and provide actionable recommendations.
- Have streamlined processes and best practices for data analysis, reporting, and visualizations that improve overall efficiency.
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of data opportunities that align with business goals and market needs.
- Begin shaping the strategic direction for data analytics within the company, working with senior leadership.
In Six Months, You Will:
- Have established a high-performing, results-driven analytics team, fully integrated with business functions.
- Implemented scalable data solutions on cloud platforms that drive business efficiencies and support data growth.
- Provided strategic insights and recommendations that directly influence key business decisions and market strategies.
- Expanded the use of advanced analytics (e.g., machine learning models) to uncover deeper insights and predictive analytics.
- Have contributed to the company’s broader data strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and emerging trends.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Hiring: Lead the recruitment and setup of a high-performing data analytics team, ensuring the right mix of skills, experience, and capabilities. Mentor and guide team members to ensure continuous development and high performance.
- Data Exploration & Insights Generation: Drive the exploration of large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights that will influence business strategies and decisions.
- SQL & Data Manipulation: Oversee the development of complex SQL queries for data extraction, cleaning, and transformation. Ensure best practices are adhered to when querying and working with data.
- Visualization & Reporting: Lead the creation of impactful visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or others to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Cloud Technologies & Infrastructure: Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for data storage, processing, and analysis to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Process Optimization & Best Practices: Establish and implement best practices for data analysis, reporting, and visualization within the team. Ensure that the data analysis processes are efficient and aligned with business objectives.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with local markets and business leaders to understand their needs and identify data opportunities that drive business growth and operational efficiencies.
- Strategic Insights & Recommendations: Provide strategic recommendations based on data insights that influence key decisions across the organization. Be a trusted advisor to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
- Team Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the analytics team, ensuring high levels of collaboration, accountability, and performance.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data science with a strong background in SQL, data visualization, cloud platforms, and Python.
- Proven experience in team hiring, team management, and setting up teams for success in high-performance environments.
- Strong ability to coordinate with business stakeholders, especially in local markets, to identify data-driven opportunities.
- Excellent understanding of data exploration, insights generation, and creating business-impacting reports.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Expertise in programming and automation using Python.
- Exceptional communication skills to present complex data insights in a clear, concise manner to business leaders and technical teams alike.
- Experience in implementing best practices in data analysis, reporting, and visualization processes.
Good to Have:
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience working with data lakes and data marts.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling and hypothesis testing.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code and data models.
