The Associate Account Manager - SEO will be responsible for writing web copy that aligns with our clients’ branding and supporting marketing efforts to further our clients’ data-driven and ROI centric SEO strategy in driving both leads and brand awareness. As online presence is extremely important, your position will play a huge role in driving our client business' growth and success. Strong communication skills and the ability to distill large amounts of information to make creative recommendations to clients is critical to the role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, proof and implement various elements of a client's content marketing strategy, working in conjunction with the SEO Technical Manager, the Performance Media Manager, and Planning Teams
  • Optimizing current copy on a client's website (page titles, meta descriptions, h1s, alts, anchor text, etc.)
  • Writing new SEO-friendly copy for pages on our client's website
  • Blog writing and posting
  • Press release writing (as well as other forms of PR--media pitches, articles, etc.)
  • Infographic creation and promotion as necessary
  • Video Transcriptions as necessary
  • Researching trending and relevant topics within a variety of industries to support client brands
  • Manage the process to translate material from English to French
  • Review competitive landscape to keep content copy relevant to latest trends/updates
  • Seek out and coordinate content partnership opportunities as required
  • Other content writing required from our digital and marketing teams as required

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Build on an existing level of content marketing and organic search engine marketing expertise
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in content marketing, digital marketing as well as consumer behaviour and recommend improvements
  • Aid in creation of new business presentations, POVs, best practices and key process documentation

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in content marketing, copywriting, editorial and/or blogging experience for professional and/or academic use
  • Must have experience writing for a web-based audience as well as some working knowledge of search engine optimization best practices and how they apply to content marketing (i.e. proper implementation of keywords, H2 formatting etc.)
  • Experience using content SEO resources and tools for keyword research and content optimization such as SEMRush, BrightEdge, Ahrefs, BuzzSumo, and AnswerThePublic are an asset
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and previous experience
  • Experience in using content management and deployment systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant college certificate
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple brands/campaigns
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner and deal with clients face-to-face
  • French language skills are an asset
