GroupM's new technology platform unit, GroupM Services is currently looking for a Search Lead to join us.

In this role, you will lead the Search practice and strategic excellence across GroupM Services, by working across a range of diverse, well-known brands, and delivering high quality Search marketing campaigns to GroupM agencies.

GroupM Services Responsibilities 

  • Ensure understanding of all GroupM Agencies brand portfolio, deliverables and campaign KPIs
  • Be an expert across media behaviorsand how target audience interacts with social touchpoints (i.e Google, Microsoft Advertising, Amazon) and any cross-channel delivery 
  • Lead opportunities to improve and enhance clients’ campaigns and advise GroupM Agencies accordingly
  • Proactively address, and escalate when needed, any issue that compromises the quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Lead quality control and assurance practiceswithin Search activation
  • Ensure team understanding and compliance with finance process (including end of campaign reconciliation and addressing media query)GroupMpolicies and procedures.  
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration by demonstrating openness to new ideas and interest in learning from colleagues with different expertise. 
  • Support GroupM Agencies in providing specific expertise to clients when/if needed Lead and drive knowledge share and understanding of new trends and technologies across Search activation 
Individual Responsibilities 
  • Independently manage the assigned teams and implement Search campaigns on major platforms (e.g. Google, Microsoft Advertising, Amazon) across all GroupM Agency accounts
  • Formulate Search strategies for client’s campaigns, ensuring that recommendations and decisions are consistent, imaginative and deliver results. (including draft media schedule) for GroupM agency planners/teams
  • Provide actionable insights during mid and post campaign reports to improve in-flight optimizations and future campaign brief recommendations
  • Lead and implement Search campaign activities of established local and global brands across multiple industries
  • Attain Google Ads Search and Analytics certifications
  • Manage a small team and be responsible for team coaching and day-to-day supervision
  • Accountable for business performance and is a key leader in the performance implementation team, ensuring growth and development takes place
  • Explore and conceive novel opportunities to expand our advisory offering
  • Establish working models for Search to be used by GroupM Agency teams as a planning and an operations model
  • Any other project or tasks as assigned from time to time
Mandatory Qualification and Technical Skills
  • 6+ years working experience in Digital Marketing or relevant industry
  • 3+ years in managing a technical team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience managing a team to deliver best in class client campaigns
  • Deep knowledge of Search as a behavior not a platform. Covering Search planning expertise on verticals, social, e-Comm, audio
  • Practical expertise in paid Search activation on the global/regional biddable platforms including Search management platforms Google, Microsoft Advertising and relevant platform certification
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-changing environment
  • Leadership skills demonstrated as the ability to anticipate and remove barrier to productivity, drive teams towards clear goals, take effective decisions and challenge the status quo
  • Strive for excellence demonstrated by setting high standards for yourself and others, holding teams accountable, focusing on continuous optimization while mitigating risks

  • Passionate about digital marketing, Search tools and technologies and eager to keep learning
