Wavemaker is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Client lead- Analytics to join us.

In this role, you will be developing methodology and solutions to support technical, analytical and operational requirements.

 

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the National Lead - Data & Analytics.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • You will understand the analytics practices used with existing clients and projects.
  • Handle day to day tasks / requirement effectively - Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide actionable insight.

In six months:

  • You will be responsible for Client management the apt solution for clients with ever changing and demanding data landscape for higher growth.
  • Recommended and implemented best practice
  • Work on performance indicators to locate business problems, and offer recommendation

In 12 months:

  • You will need to exceed client expectations and grow the analytics practices with existing clients and projects.
  • New business development: Out of the box thinking to propose the apt solution for clients with ever changing and demanding data landscape for higher growth and impact to the business top line.

 

 

 

What your day job looks like at GroupM:

You will analyze and work on

Insight generation:

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide
  • Work on performance indicators to locate business problems, and offer recommendation.

Data management:

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Data handling: Extraction and data transformation using various statistical formulations to best suit the situation.

Works collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment:

  • Work with management/teammates/stakeholders to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Build, grow and manage a team of data scientists and business analysts to deploy analytical solutions for the business.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise advanced data scientists and analysts • Define and promote an agile model development

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Self-motivated and driven to satisfy intellectual curiosity through the pursuit of learning and development of new skills.
  • Experience working with a variety of statistical models such as linear/logistic regression, clustering, support vector machines (SVM) neural networks, Random Forest, CRF, Bayesian models, supervised/unsupervised learning, etc. The ideal candidate will have a wide coverage of the different methods/models, and an in-depth knowledge of different machine learning and AI techniques.
  • Project experience across different domains- Finance, Telecom, Hospitality, Retail, Sports etc…

Minimum qualifications:

  • Relevant experience of 7-10 years of relevant experience in the Consulting/ Product/Techproviders/space.
  • B-Tech/BE/Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Biotech, Business Administration or related field from tier-I colleges (IIT, BITS, NIT, IIM)
  • Fluent in a modern programming language, such as Python, R (and their related data processing, Machine Learning, and visualization libraries), Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc...
  • Good analytical skills, logical thinking and problem solving. Specific experience in machine learning, statistical modelling, and data mining techniques.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Handled teams and client engagements.
