Overview of job

Mindshare is the number one agency of GroupM China, the leading global media investment company and a part of WPP. We are currently looking for the Head of Platforms and Outcomes to drive our Performance Strategy.

We are seeking a self-driven, experienced, and strategic Performance lead for the Agency.

 

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will:-

  • Develop and inform the agency’s product development in terms of strategic frameworks and thinking on Performance related fields
  • On-boarding and management of client CDP’s/ Audience strategy formulation etc
  • The guardian of our overall Performance (specifically Programmatic and EC) capability -helping build Performance strategy roadmaps for Mindshare’s clients
  • Work closely with the client and operational teams in creating the right products and processes that enable delivery of performance KPI’s
  • Drive the adoption of latest performance and data driven tech across our clients e.g. Federated Learning/ GroupM Tech products etc.
  • Help champion the development of internal expertise across new areas such as Yuntu ISV
  • Help new business efforts
  • Drive Agency’s thought leadership in the Performance and related fields
  • Develop and build relationships with clients, be a trusted advisor on performance marketing.
  • Propose and implement performance approaches, ideas and product offerings.
  • Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building network of industry contacts.
  • Vision to train your team member of curious digital experts in their discipline and how it can bring value to your clients.
  • Mentor, coach and support team members ensuring constant development of skills.
  • Provide strategic counsel and guidance, supervising members and ensuring the team’s success by managing work quality and productivity levels.

 

Reporting of the role

This role reports to Mindshare China Chief Product Officer.

Measures of success –

In 6 months:

  • Built up team capabilities to develop more innovative Performance marketing media solutions and starting to look at how more and more clients and campaigns can be driven by data and optimized by experience and algorithm.
  • Ensured implementation of campaigns that help drive revenue growth Delivered good campaigns with strong business results worthy of awards submissions.
  • Explore new capabilities in performance fields

 

What you will need:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of working experience, with solid background in digital/performance/data/EC (Brand marketing experience or consulting firm related experience is also preferred. Outstanding candidates is allowed for shorter experience.)
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, e.g. mar-tech suppliers, advertising/marketing agencies, media owners and internal specialist resources.
  • Competence in performance media planning, buying and optimizing across all platforms with a good understanding and working knowledge of real-time bidding foundation.
  • A demonstrated depth of understanding of the industry, business, brands and consumers in client conversations.
  • Strategic thinking and good at story telling. The experience with digital transformation approach will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Open minded and strong learning and self-driven ability.
  • Fluent English communication skills would be an advantage
  • Professional integrity of never manipulating data
